Lots of talent as usual on board on this GB. Some real beauties are being put together by you guys.

TJ

That has hapenned to me a couple of times and it makes difficult to find the holes but the light trick mentioned usually works out.

I finally started on my Spit Mk. IXc from ROG. The details are trully awesome and IMO needs nothing more. The pit is gorgeous. The seat and bulkheads have some fine looking details. The IP should be a knockout once it's painted up.

First the obligatory box top shot

Check out the details on the seat and frame, front

and even the back has fine detail. Too bad they won't be visible once closed up in the fuselage.

the IP looks sweet

side panels

The pit is ready for some RAF Green and washes. More to come.

Toshi - A very impressive build sir ! Yes  Thanks for taking the time to photograph and post the build details and your progress along the way. That has got to be one giant model !  Even a 1/72 Mossie takes up alot of space on my build shelf.

It looks very nice with all the open panels. The dropped flaps also add interest.

She's a beauty to behold.

Chris

Thank you Bossman.  Half the fun is posting the details forum members.

It's going on my wall so for now, I have the room!  LOL!

Great Job Toshi! That is one to be proud of. YesBeer
I assembled the fuse today and applied some filler. I forgot to drill the holes for the drop tanks so it's going to be fun finding where those go and drilling them from the exterior.

Steve try and shine a very bright light from the top of the wing down. Sometimes you can catch a color difference in the plastic. Don't melt wing

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Gorgeous Toshi!  I have a skeeter that I started a few years back (kind of a tribute build after my grandmother died) that I have mostly assembled, and waiting for,paint....after seeing yours, I just may get going on the finishing of that one, when I am done!

....and Eric, thanks for talking about doogs technique videos!  I have never heard of that technique, and now can't wait to try it out! Lol

Thank you very much.  That is a nice tribute!

BK - Appreciate the comments. I have used on Wolf Pack AM resin, and Im not sold the final quality is there detail wise. Ultracast gear so far for me has been superb in detail, as I have another set for the Corsair build. I had a look at your completed Beaufighter and it came out a treat, I will add this to my stash next time I place an order.

Greg - My PE work is not even in the same galaxy as what you have shown, but that was my very first attempt, and with practice I will get better.... I hope.

DB - A truly excellent choice of subject matter, something different. Well done.

TJ - I apologies for my early comments, got carried away. May she lay peace, or "pieces" as the case may be, and I hope the replacement serves you better.

Toshi - Wow. I only wish my version showed of those pair of brilliant merlins. Keep up the great work.

Thank you sir!
