I can't commit just yet, as I have too many going. But the dream project would be one I've been collecting material for.

The M3 Grant based Canal Defence Light. Over 300 of these were converted, plus 300 Matildas.

The turret was replaced with an armored cupola that contained a 13 million candle power search light. There was also a dummy 37 mm gun. The light aperture is the vertical slot just to the side of the turret "gun".

A successful concept, they were used from D-Day Normandy on, and were a key defence against night counter attacks at the Rhine Crossing at Remagen.

I'd use an Academy Grant that I've got salted away somewhere.

I'll be following in any case.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

Thanks mate, I remembered that you had some canopy issues but couldn't remember what caused them

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Ye, watch the canopy. I snapped my first one and ended up buying a second kit. The way its meant to fit in puts stress on the clear part. I opened out the semi circular hole at the rear slightly so it could drop in.

Other than that, great kit and really nice decals. You get serials for every Apache thats been in British service.

I will put the build thread up middle of Nov.

I have been looking at that SAS vehicle for a while. I have used a few of there AM sets and rather like them and will be doing their SNATCH for the GB. And if Hobby Boss don't bring out their jackal and Coyote kits soon i may opt for the resin options.

Cool site, now I want the SAS Longline LSV as well. I remember being tempted by Airfix's 1/48 Jackal and Coyote? combo, but decided to keep my armor limited to 1/72 and 1/35.

Checked the storage closet before coming to work and the Land Rover WMIK is there. Now I just need to keep off evilbay for one of Black Dog's conversion kits.

Hey Bish, this is far enough away that I will be able to clear all the other GBs off the bench before I get to it. Only got a Tamiya 1/48 Achilles M10 in the stash, but there may be more before long....

I'll have to check the stacks but if memory serves, I have a Hobby Boss 1/35 Land Rover WMIK buried somewhere. If I still have it, I'd like to join up.

I looked through the stash last night and just as I thought, I don't have anything Army. I have plenty RAF, FFA and RN but no Army. Embarrassed

We are having a show here in Sep and I'll see what I can pick up at the vender tables or maybe just a Sprue Bros sell.

Well, I've got a few things I need to push out of the way and then hopefully to Han Solo in your SW GB. If I can get him done I'd love to hop in here. Got a Bronco 1/35th A34 Comet that's been sitting around forever I really need to get built.

Projectile Infantry Anti Tank, but yours is much better. The British army always comes up with its own version of acronym (TELIC - Tell Everyone Leave Is Canceled). I'll have to look out for that game next time i am down there. Wil be a pleasure to have you on board.

Thanks Bish!

I got to heft a real PIAT, and man that thing was HEAVY!  Like the standard issue British rifle that was at the beginnig of the WW I display at Bovington.  It made me think of the iron staff that a Buddhist monk carried in his travels that was at Kiyomizu-Dera in Kyoto.

BTW the PIAT game simulates the low velocity of the real thing.  It’s kind of like throwing a sack of potatoes!
