Well done on the F-80, John.

TJ: That looks neat! Very cool! Again, I wouldn't sweat it too much- if you can get those friggin' decals to lay down on the nose and aft fusilage over the complex curves you're a better man than I.
BTW: Four months to go! I had yesterday off so I pulled out the F-51D and finally got back to work on her. I'd been dreading painting the anti-glare panel on the nose but it seems to have went off perfectly, no overspray, seepage under the mask, or paint pulled up by the same mask. I did find what looks like a fingerprint on the wing, gotta go back and repaint that now- shheeeeeesssssssssshhhhhhhhh. As soon as that's done all the aircraft is painted excepting the canopy and landing gear. Will get some photos up then.

Many thanks to fotofrank for supplying me with new decals to fix my Lid-Do-Bee Which I found out means Linda Donna Beatrice his two daughters and wife
It's not perfect I couldn't respray area because of fear of tearing more. I touched it up by brush as best as possible

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” - John 3:16-17
That looks good, she's starting to look like a T-34!
Installment 5:
A coat of paint on the main body of the tank and the turret glued together-
BrandonK Ya, I learned that they came out just as things were coming to an end and none of them saw action before it ended. Then they were replaced by the Patton before they could be used in Vietnam.

The South Vietnamese used them in Vietnam, though. :)
BrandonK Thanks again for the kind words, it was fun to build. BK

Thanks Gamera. I appreciate your kind words.
John 3:16 KJVWow, no action in Korea. Why‘d the army do that?
BK,
Nice job on the Bulldog. I need to finish mine someday.
Buddy- Those who say there are no stupid questions have never worked in customer service.
BK: That looks good, nice work!
And the tank is named after General Walton Walker. He had one amazing story, it's worth a read.
John 3:16 KJV TJ - Cool fact! What did he fly in WWII?

Will do!
Wow, no action in Korea. Why‘d the army do that? Technically, that makes it not fitting to GB rules, but I give you a pass. It was nicknamed after a Korean War General and was certainly circa the early 50s.
Thanks for participating, BrandonK!
Let's use the 3rd pic, and I don't have a name for this one.
Uhm, how about "no action Jackson". Since these never saw any combat while in US use. Thanks for hosting this cool GB.
BrandonK- Your M-41 turned out pretty well, and good job on the tanker’s face. :) Which photo would you like on the roster, and what do you want to name your entry?
Okay, I'm calling this one done. To recap, this is the Tamiya M-41 Walker Bulldog, one of Tamiyas first kits. It is very soft on detail and is begging for some additional work. I built this straight OOB, no add ons, no fixes. The kit needs the cupula windows cut out and clear parts added, the drivers sight glass is non-exisitant and needs clear parts. The underside of the lower hull has several holes for motors that are not part of this kit and the upper hull fenders are open underneath and need filling. It has no tow cables either. However, all in all this is a nice little kit and builds quick and easy. It resembles what it should and was a nice change from more challenging builds. I don't know if the AFV version is much better, but with some addtional work this could be a nice little kit. I just didn't want to put in the hours on this so it is what it is. I enjoyed building it.
Roger that! Good choice having the flaps extended; I like that! Congrats on the finish!
John 3:16 KJV Hey, TJ! Which photo would you like for me to put up front, and what would you like to name your entry? :) Too bad about what happened to your plane’s decal; that couldn’t have been fun.

tempestjohnnyWhat really bugs me is it pulled up with clear coat and all. Tamiya tape
TJ: That looks good! I wouldn't sweat too much about the decals- you got those friggin' nose ones to fit a complex curve and the stripes to work- I'd pull out what hair I have left.
Love your results!
Thanks BK. I only wish that the decal didnt pull up on the other side. What really bugs me is it pulled up with clear coat and all. Tamiya tape
Very nice work, TJ. Good looking bird.
