Nice work Hutch, coming together well - yep definitely looking like a hawk. Is that one of the new Airfix moulds - big gaps if it is.
Mongose, looks like a bit of fiddling about there, but coming together nicely
After a couple of hours this morning (41 hours), the decals were all on, the wheels, props and canopy installed. There is some good nose art, you can see the mosquito dive bomber on this side.
And a mosquito drinking a beer on the other
Off for a walk with the family to get a Sunday morning coffee while the wheels set solid. Getting back, added the gear doors and the aerial and we are done!
For the age - we're the same age - seems to go together pretty well. The warping was not fully resolved, the fuselage bends and twists (the model not me, oh no wait both of us) - must be from Queensland*
And from above:
*Queenslander = 'banana bender'
But still happy with how it has come out
And keeping with the tradition of displaying a libation with the finished model. Well, the sun isnt over the yardarm yet, but not wanting to be accused of being a piker here it is:
Thanks Lewbud for the group build, loook forward to this each year - getting a kit out in 2 days is such a good feeling when I only manage four in a year (including this one!).
Some great build this year, the quality ratchets up each year! Keep at it Hutch and Mongoose.
And with a few hours to spare, keep the better half happy and so off to lunch.
