Well I'm more or less done. After taking photos I saw a couple areas that need a bit of work. All in all I had fun with this kit, although the primer was pretty much a waste of time I think, the lesson is black covers everything instantly. I think it looks ok though. I still need to make the hydraulic canopy supports out of something, since I couldnt find anything around the house that looked right, anyone got any ideas? THe canopy pretty much needs to be up, or else I'll have to retouch the white on the edge of the cockpit . Also, some of that primer got into the cockpit, hence the dusty look, but its only noticable in close ups, cant see it with my eye so I can live with that.
The things I'm most pleased with on this one are the canopy, came out pretty sharp and clear, used scotch tape and a sharp knife and I think it worked pretty good, but I was sweating the whole week it was on there, since pretty much the last thing to do is peel off the tape and find out how it looks. I like the wires on the landing gears and on the gear door, and I like the way the bombs look. And I like how the cockpit turned out, considering how plain it looked when I started.
Well, here it is, my own private Skunkworks! Let me know what you think!
oh and the tires sort of suck. need to touch up that black.
