Has anyone ever done a cutaway on a model, I'm thinking of doing it on the Bf109. I notice theres an article on it in FSM this month, but the mag comes out later in the month in the UK so I've not read it yet.
I'm just wondering if itll be beyond my ability, or should I give it a try anyway? Hmmmm...

Tamiya(?) I believe made a cutaway Zero a few years ago; I just saw it in my hobby shop a few weeks ago.

WOW count me in on this group build , I love scratchbuilding I recently just finished scratching an all new cockpit for fujimi's 1/72 stuka , so I'm up for my next challenge, put me done for giving the old Aifix 1/72 P51 D/K a new face lift with a new cockpit , wheel wells , and Maybe some dropped flaps?

I bought this is at the beginning of April and started just after registering for the forum late in April but did not finished until a week or so ago. Does it still count if I at least started in April? It is a 1/48 Hasegawa 109G-6 w/resin & PE engine and pit. Tires "weighetd down" with a candle, control surface cut out and repositioned hanging down

Hey wing-nut that looks amazing and as can clearly be seen you put a lot of work and time into that model great job and thanks for sharing it in this forum!

Maybe if it doesn't re-open we could start a new one ??... just a thought!?

Hey, looks like this GB didn't get anything finished? I tried to do a cutaway GB a while back couldn't get enough interest. I guess a super detailed GB with cutaway included would be a good idea. I'll be in if we want start a new GB, I already have a Japanese figher picked out.

Could we re-open this maybe? I would be interested in joining.

Well, looks like we have 4 interested so far, be nice to get just a few more to get a real GB going. Maybe starting around Sept/05 and ending Sept/06 - giving people a enough time and breathing space to join in?

BTW Wingnut, great looking engine.
