This is set #F72076, Vietnam LRRP US Helicopter crew 3 figures by CMK. While they are Vietnam era, I figure in this scale they can be used in almost any era.

Can someone please explain to me one more time how to post pics up here? Yes, I are rock when it comes to these computer thingies. I got some comparison pics on the camera that I took before I finally got the oversized sponsons on the -E kit. ( yes, my first major surgery! ) LOL

Just finishing the final touches on a Dutch F-16 for an ARC Viper group build, then I'll continue with my MH-47E (the Viper GB ends 12/15). I have the fuselage together, just have some minor seam clean up left, then I'll add all those wonderful little bits that go on before she gets her coat of black paint. If I can stay on task, I should have it done at the first of the year.

Hey gang, I'd love to join the fray! I've got the Italeri 1/72 CH-47 C/D. I've not decided on which version yet, as I won't start on it till probably February...unless I decide other wise. I remember reading the deadline to finish was April '05...so I think I'm safe.

If it's still possible to join, count me in! I'm working on a 1/72 Matchbox right now, building a HC Mk1 Britforleb/RAF Chinook in Lebanon 1984. Actually I'm working on two Chinooks, but the other one (a CH-47D from Dutch AF in UNMEE service in Ethiopia) is on hold, and I don't think that one will be re-started before this GB has ended.

Hey lodni_k...looks like you're making progress. What is the reason for removing a chunck out of the side? Does the version you're building not have that "bulge" ? I'm new to Chinooks is why I'm asking.

Taz

Taz, the Chinook version I'm building has much larger sponsons than the "regular" H-47. Luckily, Italeri made "cut" lines on the insides of the fuselage. Fortunately, I didn't screw it up & the replacement sponsons are on and look pretty good!

Later all!

The building is making progress, and the kits camouflage is now partly painted. The rest of the camo is to be painted, the undercarrage is to be fitted, and then ...

Great progress there Swedish Mick!Thumbs Up [tup]
It looks like you got some type of wrap around camo but I can barely see in the pics.

I just painted the interior on mine but I'll post pics after I weather it.

It's going to be a sea grey/dark green camo over and cockpit black under, straight OOB. Hopefully this is close to reality, 'cause I haven't seen any picture of the Chinooks used by the Brits in Lebanon. But anyway, it looks pretty good to me ...

Mine is completed, all but the detailing of the engines, and trimming of the rotors.. The Italeri kit allowes you to build it as a D, but the rotors need carpentry to fix the problem.. Will show pics tomorrow.
