Bump

Actually, if someone would just resize the badge, we can simply copy and paste into Photobucket (or your prefered image host).

OK, I am back after nearly a month away. I think it has been that long. Anyway, I will get the list updated now and get everyone's proposed kit listed.

I don't remember who posted a badge suggestion, but I really liked it. Would you mind hosting it? I ask you to do this because I don't really know how, and this new forum is really giving me a hard time. I just can't get used to it.

The start date is still on for Jan 1, 2006. As for the end date, I still think we should leave it open. I know some of use might not ever finish what we wnat to for this build. Besides, I think it would be great to NOT have a deadline for a change. It may be a nice break, kind of relaxing for us not to HAVE to finish something at a certain time.

Man, this GB came to a hault on interest.  Says a lot about people our age, too busy with work, some are gonna have a family, paying off loans houses, and cars.

I am definitely gonna make something tomorrow first after I get up!!

That's kinda funny, but true I think. I just got home from work a little while ago. 16 hours of setting tile will kick your butt, and with having to sleep and all, dosen't leave much time for me at the modeling bench....   I am waiting on some ordered parts for the A-10 I'm gonna build for this GB.  So hopefully they come in soon so I can try to get started on my build.....

I am really having a time of it trying to decide what to build for this one...I guess it would depend on when you were thinking of ending this one??  I have a B-26 on the pile...but could also do up a Buffalo or Hurricane...decisions...decisions....

I would be up for this, sign me up, not sure what kit I'll be doing however.

I was just thinking about goldilocks and the 3 bears re: young guns v. old guns the other day so it's serendipitus that I came across this build.

thanks for the interest.

I think this is a great idea.

We've been ignored by the masss too long!!   We're the ones either wiping yout snotty little noses or paying for your Social Security!!!   :)

Here's a proposed badge.    (Because as we know....you cant build a model without a badge)

Osher, I know exactly how you feel. I must have 40 or so in some stage of completion (or incompletion, depending on how you look at it). You can enter several, just pick one to be your "official entry", I guess.

I think I have change the model I want to build. I originally wanted to build a figure but after seeing Swanny's Grumman F4F-4 Wildcat on swannysmodels.com I think I want to build that. I will still build some figures but they will be ones associated with that aircraft.

I'm 34 (yikes! I can't be, I can't be!), so count me in. OK, so I've never yet finished completely a model for a GB, but there's always the next one. As for a kit...well, I'm mid-way through 19 or 20...plus some more in the pending catagory. In otherwords, I'll know what I'm building for the GB when I start it (change of mind after I start, excluded). In reality, probably the Revell B-25 'Red Bull', or the Revell F-14A, or the Revell Ferrari something or another, as they're all in bags, and so waiting to be either built or crushed.

Hey, I'm 32 years young. I'd be interested in this, particulary since it's open-ended and any subject, any scale.

Hmm, the possibilities....

I was wondering what the sigh was for. I really didn't mean to exclude you, Mike. If you're close enough on the age, then you can join, I don't think a few months make much difference.

I guess I'm sort of in charge of this one. Yay! If anyone wants to throw in thier My 2 cents [2c] then go ahead, I want this to be enjoyable for everyone.

haha. I think you should put the age to be 19 to 35. (I'd draw the line at 39). that way mike won't feel as left out. then we can send him off to the old gun GB. LOL.

Well, I have some sort of idea, based on how often everyone here claims to build.

I propose the Middle Wieght Group Build AKA the "When am I going to finish this?!" GB.

I know I will not have a lot of time for this, so I think it would be best to leave it open-ended, at least for a while. Maybe, if we get enough interest, we can set a finish date.
As for the start, how about the first of '06, that way it can be the MWGB06?

Like the other age GBs, any subject, any scale, combine with other builds if you want/neeed to. Pretty much no rules (except ages 19-34 ONLY), just show us what you got!

Thoughts and imput now, please! I hope we have enough interest for this one.

Electrical. Currently doing mostly Computer Engineering work though. Bummer. Still I am ME at heart. Machines fascinates me a whole lot more than lil circuit drawings.

I'd totally go for a middleweight GB, though I have NO IDEA how these age group GB goes as far as topics are concerned. Go peek at one of them Old Gun GBs and see how that's run.
