The USFS jumpers are currently transitioning over to the rectangular canopy used by the BLM which in actuallity still uses a static line however the static line deploys a drogue shute to help stabilize the jumper into a virtical fall during a five second count and then the jumper pulls a release for the drogue to pull the main shut out.  Nice photo of J-75 out of Redding, CA thanks for sharing!
