Battle of Stalingrad Group Buy lasting from August 21, 2006 until February 2, 2007.

Aircraft, Armor, Dioramas, Figures, and anything else you can imagine are all welcome.  Aftermarket parts are also encouraged and entries can be in any scale.  Everyone has almost a month and a half to do research and get their goodies in line for this GB.  Please update with pictures and any history you come across that pertains to your build.

I look forward to this group buy and I hope it is a success.  Post what you would like to build and I'll post it in this thread.

Multiple entries are encouraged!

If the KV-1 qualifies, I have one ready for painting right now that might get into the build also.  I haven't made any research on that battle yet but I plan to do some by the end of the week.  I'll see what I can find.

I might be interested in building a Stuka. Anyone know which model was used at Stalingrad and which units participated?

I'm toying around with an idea for a Stalingrad diorama, in 1/35. May have to go play Call of Duty again to get the juices flowing.

Sorry to hear that Jeeves.

Personally I was hoping to get a bigger group, but I'm glad we have the guys we have.  Hope you change your mind.

Dave,

Found this online...not sure about the accuracy, but it sounds like they were used in a limited role due to issues with friendly fire.  According to the article, they were used.  If you still want to join I"ll put you down.

No Panzer, I don't mind at all.  Go right ahead and include that build in this GB as well.  This GB is more about fun and encouragment than hardcore rules.  I look forward to seeing it.

Since your working on Lilya's kit as well, I'll go ahead and switch mine so we see some different builds.  Glad to hear this is picking up a little!

Most definately!!  Think you'll do them seperately or throw them in a diorama??

I will update this thread in the next few days.  I have to head back to college classes on wednesday, so I'll try and get it updated before then...

I have to finish my Trumpeter HQ-2 missile transporter and then finish my CF-18 Hornet and I'm ready to start my Sturer Emil.  I hope to start it in early September.
