Bf-109 GB

Hi Espins, it was a watercolour wash, i think Dark Umber. There was nothing technical about it. It was a small squirt of the umber (About 10mm long) and diluted about 20:1 with water. Then a big squirt of something SWMBOd's keeps under the sink. Dishwasher detergent i think. Using a very fine brush you can keep the overspill of the wash to a minimum. Clean off any overspill with lots of cotton buds.

Hi All, its finished.It seems that the last finishing touches took forever. Had a mare with the rear cockpit and superglue. I didnt go too mad on the weathering as this is a plane that was in the desert. Just a slight toning down of the base colours with some light pastels and a light wash. Really enjoyed the build apart from the cockpit issue and a tailwheel that broke off lol. (That will be sorted when the correct shaped one arrives from Hannants) All comments seroiusly appreciated. If you would have done something differently, i want to know. Its the only way to improve. Thanks...Guy

P.s Can i put my Group Build logo up now?

I agree, fantastic job. Have to admit, i was a little bit concerned about the sand colour looking a little too orange but it must have been the lighting cos it looks the dogs bo****ks now. Well done indeed..Awesome

Ive managed to get a couple of pics of the office on mine tonight. Its all coming along great. Probably paint the underside tonight and do a few fiddly bits. Not long now before decals..OOhh i cant wait..Am i too eager?????? lol...Guy

Thanks!  Tonight, I sprayed the tires/wheels and also a light dusting overcoat for that dry, faded look.  Should have her done in a week or so.

That's been my philosphy lately as well, been learning how to work with resin and photo etch.  That's the only way to learn new tricks, just dive in and give it your best shot!  You did good!

Well, got the last of the decals on this morning.  The box decals were quite thick, but I tried a technique with 'em and it seemed to work out.

Hi All, My G4. Yes a G4 (Ive decided at last lol) is coming on. Cockpit is in, fuze is together. Coming along swimmingly.

Nup, I don't see anything. Never got the gear. My P-47 seems DOOMED.

Itl probably end up being a G4 or a G6. Who knows what designation the G had with Late wheels and no breech bulges in the engine cowling. If they do...Thats the one im building lol

My Emil's canopy has vanished into the netherworld of carpet fibers.

 I'll probably find it in a week or so when I step on it, or if the dog pukes it up later tonight..
