Spring '07 College Student GB

Well here it is...1/48 Revell/ Monogram Zero. Built OOB except for a cockpit floor. The markings are loosley based on a Zero on display at the Pacific Aviation Museum at Pearl Harbor.

Overall I am pretty happy with it. For a $5 kit I'll take it.

As you can see the Zero got into some trouble as soon as I hung it up...

Here is a cell-phone teaser pic...Assembled and painted...

Next is (light) weathering, some ID stripes on the fuselage and decals...

For of all I dont know why the double post, I was not tring for that at all. T badges look great I have not made my mide up yet as to which one to take.

TAdan: yes it is in a two tone grey scheme. Thanks for the good word on how it looks for an all hand brushed paint job.

R-Cman73...the F-106 is coming along nicely. Are you doing a two tone grey paint scheme?

I've made some progress on my Zero. The prop, instrument panel and landing gear are all painted. I'd like to add something resembling a cockpit rather than nothing...but well see.

Air Master

Just an update on my build. I have the front office in place and the wepons bay done.

I went home over the weekend and got my cam for taking pix of the build in progress, but now I cannot post said pix at this time for IE on my computer is all messed up and so I am back to using the computer in the libary on campus. I have just ordered a new computer from Dell and I hope that it will be here next week.

Sorry this jsut hit me, as for a badge, what about somethign form Old School, like frank the tank or something

I'm a senior at Seton Hill University is Greensburg, I'm a Music major, will ahve minimal time to build, but I would like to contribute a RM Spitfire MkII.  It's been sitting around for sometime, I figure this would be a nice easy build.  Which usually jinx's me.  But oh  well, I'll give it a Go. I graduate in May and will probably out of state working by june, so I hope to have it done by may 1st!

Mortar Magnet,  I will post a few links to this GB in the off topic section and over on another board to try and drum up a few more participants.

Ok, I finished my Heinkel so now it is time to start the Zero!

I chose this kit for its simplicity, as you can see it is pretty basic. I plan on finishing it in an overall light grey paint scheme, my last two Zero's were green.

 I spent all day studying yesterday so today I am taking a break to play with this Zero.

I hope to get the sub-assemblies finished up today. I'll be sure to snap some progress pics.

Not as good as I'd like, but I have commited myself to complete one step every couple days.  This way I don't need a huge block of time to work on something, but I still make progress.

I wish somemore folks from the other GB would have comeback.  This time it should turn out to be more of a group thing.

I'll try and get my "0" started this weekend. I finally painted my Heinkel and I should hopefully have it done this week.

I'll be posting pics from my Camera phone when I start the Zero.

Hi I'm Dan. Student at Rutgers University in NJ. 6 credits.

My kit will be a 1/48 Revell / Monogram Mitsubishi Zero. I dont know when I am going to start it, but I am pretty sure I can have it done by June :-)
