Neu- I agree- looking very good!  Can't wait to see her in a coat of paint.

Dave- Yes, you can build the Corsair Mk.I from the birdcage kit, that is what I am working on right now too.  One thing I have found about them- not all of them have the clipped wingtips.  I am not sure why, but I have photos of them with and without the clipped wings.

I would stay away from salt, tends to leave a residue and ruin paint work. Try and find some very fine sand instead if you use that technique. HTH!!!
