Well, I finally get to start the M26 sometime this week, hopefully. Just finished the P-38, and have a B-25 and King George V each pretty much done so I'll be able to start it pretty soon. How about you all?

Oh, absolutely. Confession: I have not started the Lodestar, but it has moved up in the pattern to just behind the SAC C-54. My Father in Law flew Bristol Beaufighters out of Tunisia in USAAF colors, but I've built him one. Italeri is making some beautiful little Italian armored cars. And the Lady be Good...

 I generally only model 1/72 aircraft, (besides N scale RR), but I have a 1/24 P-40 in the stash which is a sure candidate for the Desert Air Force. At that scale I could hand paint the RAF markings. Count me in!

Sure, why the heck not? Just more "excuses" to buy more kits. Africa - I could take my idea for the  T19 off the shelf and begin looking for the parts. Southern Europe (the Italian Campaign and Southern France I assume) - Who knows. Maybe I could finally finish that Railroad Gun. Ost Front - I've been wanting to build a Josef Stalin tank for a while now...Yeah, that's the ticket .

I've started in on the Jadgtiger. It looks pretty straightforward. I'll be scratchbuilding a gun barrel for that big 128mm. I've managed to flatten the one in the kit. C'est la vie.  happens and so I've taught myself to make my own gun tubes over the years when need be. Since, Dragon only provides the front and rear fenders and not the sides, there might be a set of Fruil tracks in the future too, depends if the kit tracks will cooperate.

I'll probably put this one up for a little while. I'm wanting to finish masking and painting my King Tiger. I'd like to do a little research on the Jadgtiger units also, at least before I paint it.

I've decided to s---can the PzKfw II Ausf. C for a while (fit problems related to too-tight track guides) and begin work on my Panther this weekend.  Cannot wait! 

I was just thinking about Africa because I was reading a book titled Rommel's Panzers and in it I found a picture that I thought would make a moving diorama. It was a knocked out British Sherman with 2 graves beside it and a infantrymen bowing his head in front of the graves.

Progress has been minimial lately-too many projects-modeling and otherwise.  The Marder has been started, but only the hull has been assembled.  I am thankful that the Tamiya kit has 'rubber band' tracks-not the preferred option but a time saver.

I would be up for a Liberation of Africa build after this one.  A lot of good armor and aircraft that would fit the subject.

Welcome to the build John, I STILL have not started my Pershing. I'll start it once I'm done with my P-38 for the SOuth Pacific GB.

David-  Ok, I'm officially in this GB with a 1/35th Dragon Jadgtiger, so add me to the roster. I got a sweet deal on both this kit and Dragon's 1/35th M-46 Patton from a vendor on Ebay . I'll just file my ideas for the T19 Halftrack away, for now.

I have busy at work and with other projects to respond about the M18 and the answer to your question is yes, I have decided to place it in a diorama with the M18. It'll be two vehicles from adjacent divisions (M8 of 2nd Armored, and M18 of 84th Infantry) sharing some drinks during a lull in the fighting. I did some research and these divisions did fight alongside each other in the same corps and had these vehicles. The tarp with helmet and canteen comes from the Hobbyfan accesories set, as well as the machine gunner. Extra track from the Fruilmodel set was added to the bow and the rear of the turret (replacing the kit part) The bow arrangement came from a photo in Squadron's booklet on the tank destroyers.

I'm finally back to my Spifire for this GB. It has the Dk green and Ocrean grey Camo done, next the underside, maybe tomorrow night.

Another thing I didn't mention was that the tools look as though you were careful to mask and paint- I usually just grab the thing and dip the end in steel: well done.

Let's see, the tires were done with a combination of some highly thinned - 80%? 90%? - Tamiya Light Earth (or Dark Earth? Don't remember what it's called) sprayed into the tread and hubs, some of the same brownish wash I used on the hull, and some ground up pastels rubbed onto the sidewalls, some with an old brush, but mostly with my thumb. I really dug the way they came out. Oh, and lots of sandpaper. Some pretty hefty seams when I glued those guys together.

Great job on that Puma! I was impressed by the way the tires look so real, not overboard on the weathering.

wow dupes, that puma really jumped out! i espically like the light weathering. i believe that nothing was really clean. like espins stated, everything started out clean, but by the time they drive to the front to see any action, they were already dusted up a little. good job on that one. looks incredibule. here is the progress of my elephant. i am still in the painting/weathering process. so far, i have applied the future, decals, and the next coat pf future. i painted the jack, tow cable, and  interior hatches. next i'm working on getting the tracks a nice color, then i'll work on the main body of washes and weathering. thanks for looking guys, and every one of your builds looks amazing!

Nice work on the Hellcat, I like the helmet and canteen on the back of the turret. Are you going to weather it and put it in a dio with the M8?
