I wouldn't have bought this kit if I didn't get 50% discount. Still it costed me $23.50

It's quite the nice representation of a A34 "Comet." However their are two things that sorta need fixing. The first thing is the lens of the light on the turret, it should be drilled out and replaced with a real lens(instead of just silver paint.) The other thing is the tracks, which have no sag what so ever, a little bit would help out immensly. Other then these two things I see, Art Instructor did a nice job.

Got that 50% off groove going for this one too. Hans von Hammer will be happy to see that.
Nice work from "Art Instructor". Thanks for posting it.

In the usa that kit is something like 63 bucks. Lucky. Looks good too but the wheels dont look chipped enough for the weathering protrayed.

Nice looker though.

Many thanks for your kind comments, compliments and suggestions!

mg.mikael suggested that real lens be used. The problem is that they're not readily available. As for the tracks I think they're one piece vinyl, so it's rather difficult to make them sag.

You could tell "Art Instructor" that an easy way to make lenses is to drill out the orignial piece, paint the drilled out portion a steel color, then fill in the piece with Testor's Clear parts cement & window maker.

I've heard of 'widow maker' many times but never once heard of 'window maker'. That too is not available here.

I'm surprised that many manfucturers haven't thought of this need by modellers. Some manufacturers have alread come out with clear parts for vision blocks and periscope and headlight lenses which really add a ton of realism to the built. I wish they can take the cue from this model manufacturers.

It is not that hard to cut a disk from a piece of clear sprue and sand / polish it to size.  Only takes a few minutes to drill out the solid light and add the lens.  I dont see the need to buy special aftermarket lenses for this.
