Hey Everyone,
As promised I wanted to share my second show results with you that I took #3 and #4 to. It was interesting my Pz.III Ausf N. was moved to the open turret category because the hatches were open but at the Spring show with the same rules it was in the closed hatch category and took Honorable Mention. I am not complaining just pointing out the inconsistency but as we all know rules and regulations are often interpreted differently. My Stug Dio was entered into the Armor Diorama class and it took 3rd!
My wife and I met a gentleman and his wife there that I had met at the Spring Show and we all hung out and took it in. He scratch builds Sherman's but I don't hold that against him!
The event was at Fort Worden where an Officer and a Gentleman was filmed and was the one of the main Coastal Artillery Forts on the West Coast. I took lots of pictures both of the show and the fort and deer and a collection of WWI US Armor and Motorcycles.
Enjoy!
This is what beat me for 1st place in my Category and deservedly so it was a phenomenal presentation:
The second place winner was a Russian Armored car diorama that was phenomenal as well. I missed my photo op because my wife and I were sharing the camera and be the time we synced the model was packed up and gone. We will have two cameras next time.
Best of the Show Airplane was a Digitized Camo all masked by hand. It was a stunner and I don't particularly like sticks with wings but this was cool!!
Awesome Hetzer:
Russian Generational Armor Line Up:
Fantastic Fifties was the Theme of the show check out this garage. I believe it won People's Choice
I really liked this IDF Vehicle it called to me Honest!
My buddies Charioteer that took first in his class:
Pictures of the Artillery Positions and Vehicles:
Now the really cool stuff the |deals and goodies at the Vendors:
Remember when Wild Bill graciously sent many of us his extra After market bits for free? Well he sent me two PZKpfw35 (t) machine gun barrels. I vowed to build something around it! I just have a thing let's call it for small work horse vehicles like the PZ III's II's and 1's. The PZ.IV was my first love and will always be special and dear to me as well. Anyway I found a CMK 1/35 Skoda Panzerbefehlswagen 35 (t) with sealed Friul tracks and Royal Model Resin and PE set for $30.00!
Also picked up a Tamiya T34/85 for $5.00!
Wood base for #5 for $2.00!
Some Tank Figures for various projects for a total of 37.00 no exclamation expensive but very nice figures the machine gunner is going into #5 but I might use an Ultra cast head on him instead.
Some 1/35 Skelton heads for another idea I have for $4.00!
Zimmer-IT tool for $4.00!
Ultacast heads for $9.00!
The head on the far right is what I would put on the Tank machine gunner body for #5.
I really enjoyed seeing some of the same guys from the other shows and it was absolutely fantastic to share such a great time with my wife and partner!
Hope you guys like the pics and pick up on how exciting and fun this is for me. Thank again to all of you on this forum who have supported and encouraged my efforts.
You Guys & Gals Rock!!
