                        just in case ur not all tired of looking at my pix, here's yet another one...
                        italeri 1/72 t-34 w/ chalk pastel weathering & unditching beam added...
                        (if u look closely, u'll see the driver's face is still OD... luckily the upper hull isn't glued on yet, so i'll get in there & paint him w/ tamiya 'flesh' paint at some point...)

                        Oh, there we go, much better! Definitely my favourite so far, Frosty! It looks really good! I'm building one too right now, but I'm not expecting to have it completed before late January, 'cause I have a couple patterns to finish first..(without counting the Panther, the Konigstiger and the Concorde..). Blast!

                        Looking great! Keep up the great work! I can't wait to see the driver when he gets over his motion sickness. Nice detailing!

                        Can you tell how you handled the pastel chalk? I have some, but have been hesitant to use them so far. I'd love to hear pointers.

                        sorry 2 b so tardy in response... my apologies ! Sleepy [|)]
                        for chalk pastel weathering, u need to chop up some of ur chalk (i use a single-edged razor blade) into a very fine powder, then use a soft brush to apply it directly 2 ur model. a brush for make-up like blush is perfect...
                        once u've applied the chalk where u want it , make sure not 2 touch any of the weathered areas (otherwise u'll get some pretty obvious fingerprint marks going) and fix the chalk in place w/ some clear flat lacquer.
                        try it, i bet u'll like it !
