Thanks Mm23t,

This project just got put on hold!

Because of the poor shield issue I've gone and ordered some PE.

http://www.greatmodels.com/~smartcart/cgi/display.cgi?item_num=GRML35003B

And I've decided to purchase the flak sled instead of scratch build it.

http://www.greatmodels.com/~smartcart/cgi/display.cgi?item_num=MMIL90110

I am sorry for the delay in posting pictures, but I need to preserve my sanity for now.

The parts should be here next week so I will start on this then.

For now I have a very special tiger to start on for Dupes group build THE WINTERING!

Stay tooned for that one as well!

Tom,
The build overall is stunning, but I especially like the rear suspension. Kind of spindly. Very nice.
Cheers

Looking good Tom! Those details on the cargo bed really add to the overall finish.

Bodge,

Thanks bud, stay tooned.

It's deer season here now but, I am also going to have more time to work on this beast because of it.

IBuild 148,

Your welcome,

And stick with it, but remember to take plenty of breaks to keep your sanity!

Stay tooned...

Tom,

Thanks for the pics! For the most part with the exception of the steel block I have everything in some shape, manner or form.

I guess it just comes down to patience, practice and persistence.

Stay sane and I'll keep watching this build.

What an amazing attention to detail! Way to raise the bar sir. A nice recovery on the drivers door by the way.

Now for an update;

The drivers side door was too small!

This required a bit more work...

But it's in there!

More to come!!!

Tom,

Your killing me with these tiny pieces. Please tell me you use a magnifier?

Most importantly can you post a pic of the tool/s you use to get these pieces in place.

I am working on an F-16 with PE and some these parts are so small that I will spend an hour using what I have available to get 1 or 2 steps done.

Looks great!

IBuild148,

1st thing I would recommend is to buy an Optivisor with the DA-10 lens plate (4x magnification).

Then get a big heavy block of steel to do your small work on and afix a small piece of double sided carpet tape to the center of it to act as a third hand.
