Thanks I really appreciate it.

I'm in the middle of building the Criel kit and just wanted to verify some of the more questionable items I'm seeing in the interior.

I'll send you an email with a list of the questions Fabio. Thank you so much for the help.

And Robert and Jon, thanks for all of your help too.

Latch,
pse feel free to e-mail me with your questions about the "Semovente da 47/32 su scafo L40". It's not easy to find pics of the interiors of them as far as in Italy there is no one left. I think you've got one of the two still existing at the Aberdeen Proving Gound (if I'm not wrong). It's re-painted in white instead of sand yellow but interiors should be there.
As far as I know the only one kit available to date is the one from (http://www.crielmodel.it). I've got it but I didn't build it yet. What I built is their L6/40 from which the Semovente has been derived.

If you want to see more of it you can follow this link:
http://www.armorama.com/modules/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=12069&si=&page=1&sort=8&perpage=10&password=&ppuser=1213&stype=0

On my site http://www.cavalleriaitaliana.it follow the link "Mezzi" then "Carri Leggeri" then L6/40. I've recently added some new pics.

For the Semovente I'll be pleased to help you as much as I can.

For Robert: thanks for your nice words (as usual)

If you e-mail the webmaster there ...... his name is Fabio and he posts here occasionally, he's just a wealth of information on Italian Armour and can probably answer quite a few of your questions. Good thing is his English is probably better than mine. His e-mail addy is on the site.

Thanks Robert, That helped.

My Italian stops at Spahgetti.Big Smile [:D]

The one picture I found is better than all the pictures I have now. It looks like it is a command version because it actually has a radio (or at least the antenna).

What is that thing on the rear plate. It looks like some kind of pipe/tube. Knowing Itailian armor it could be anything from a base for a radio antenna to a fuel fill access.

Thanks for the link Jon.

There are some great pictures of the Bassotto, but I didn't see any on the L6 version.

I appreciate your help. There has to be something on this little guy somewhere.

Thanks for the link Captain.

I've got most of the unit markings down pat and the color scheme.
I'm trying to find information on the interior. Color, etc. I'm also looking for some photos which show some of the outside details better. All the photo's I've got are not of the best quality.

Once again, thanks for the help.

Information on Ansaldo Fiat L6 Semovente
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, December 31, 2003 1:21 PM

Does anyone know where I can find some information on the Ansaldo Fiat L6 Semovente?

I've got a few pictures in "The Encyclopedia of German Tanks", and after that just the occasional shots scattered in several books, but nothing indepth.

I would love some additional pictures. In particular anything on the interior.

Thanks!
