Done - M932A2 Tractor with Trailers - Pics -
Posted by HeavyArty on Friday, March 19, 2010 7:41 PM

As Redleg said in another post recently, I do like my trailers...and trucks.

Here is another piece I have been building up and improving upon off and on.  I built the M932 a few years ago as an A1.  I recently added resin A2 wheels/tires from Hobby fan.  The tractor was converted from the Italeri M923A1 kit using sheet styrene and a 1/32 5th wheel.

Here is the truck:

The new resin wheels/tires:

This is the new load for it.  It is a 1/32 Esci 20' container and trailer.  I built them pretty much straight out of the box  with the addition of glad-hands added to the tongue.  I also added some stowage on top of the tongue as well.  It went together pretty well.

With the truck:

A modified (shortened) AMT/Monogram 1/32 box trailer was the former load.  I guess I'll just have to build another bobtail to mount this one on now.

More pics here.

As always, all comments welcomed.

Thanks for looking.

Thanks IBuild148.  I like to mix it up every once in a while and do something different from traditional armor.

OK....now I am getting worried with all your builds....you are becoming the big rig off road trucker guy.....next I expect to see a como Trans Am and a dio of Smokey and the Bandit goes to Iraq.

If your having problems.....take a ride out to the field....get a good wiff of wolfs pu$$y.! Ahhhhh now hopefully that will get you going on something with a BIG gun!!Wink

Nice work on the rig. I love the conex box. Did the markings come with the kit or were they GInofab. Great touch with the tounge.

Your motor park is full of nice deliveries now!!

Now that would be cool!!!Big Smile

Nah, don't worry, its just a little diversion from the land of green and sand things for a little break.  I think I may get started on an M43 conversion or an AS-90 next.  I also have an M109A2 with the Traks and KMC interiors, along with CMK engine set, and AFC Club tracks that I may get started on too.  So many choices.......

Thanks for the compliments on the truck.  The decals are a mix of kit (sort of) and ones from the spares box.  I had to copy the kit ones onto decal paper since they were all crappy stickers.  After they were made into proper decals, they worked fine.

Well at least he's building ground vehicles there Mike... I've been worried that he had gone (completely) over to the helo dept of FSM.

Either way, nice builds no matter what dept you're hangin' out in Gino!  2 cents

Thanks,

Thanks Keith.  I will always love my helos, but will stay grounded as well.  Maybe I'll start on the Trumpeter M252 Mortar soon.

Hey Gino, love the model, it brings back some memories of when I was with the 3rd ACR and drove that truck, with a fuel trailer.

Nice work buddy.
