Yikes! What did Art Instructor do to those poor roadwheels on that Kugelblitz?(for example the spare roadwheels stored on the side fender) They look like some melted the interior hub of the roadwheels and then painted them.Crying If that's an attempt at weathering, then tell Art Instructor not to paint camo over the dirt and mud. Either way, those roadwheels need a complete re-do, certainly not one of his better works.Blind Fold

I think the eyes are a little bit off too much on the side. The tank is phenominal though!

mg.mikael, I did not notice that before. Your comments led me to look closely and I got your point. I'll pass on your suggestions to AI, thanks!

total american patriot, thanks for your kind feedbacks. I think it's difficult to paint the eyes in 1:35 scale. Double the size and my modeler can do better. Like this one:

MM,

There are several other areas on the Kugelblitz that AI overlooked that could have been dealt with. The spare track run on the glacis in particular is glaring for all the ejector marks that weren't addressed and in fact have gotten highlighted as part of the dry-brushing process. He also failed to drill out the barrels on the 3.0cm guns and the hull MG and instead left them in their original molded-solid state. Some things to consider for future projects especially when it comes to older kits that need that kind of close attention to produce a good result.

G, thanks for your kind comments and suggestions. I'll pass on to my builder. Same as the figures, 1:35 is a bit too small for motorcycle & sidecars. I've heard that soon we'll find one in 1:24 scale, and hopefully 1:16 later on. I'm also a motorcycle rider all my life but my favorite ones are dirt bikes.

Knowing that you're a BMW motorcycle fanatic, I'd like to show some BMWs in my collection. These are 1:9 scale, hope you like them:

---

Bill, thanks for your kind suggestions. Yesterday AI came to deliver new batch of job and I talked to him about drilling the gun barrels (I forgot other points, will raise them to him later on). He said that it's possible to drill the MG but not the 3cm guns because those are small and narrow parts.

---

For those who like motorcycles 1:35, I've just ordered Triumph 3HW w/ British MP set (from Bronco) and IJN type 97 Motorcycle w/ sidecar and crew (from PitRoad). The latter may be a rare kit, I have never seen one before. A fellow modeler offers it in a local webboard.
