Dragon's early Tigers are the best (as in most accurate) on the market. Tamiya's early was the best thing going about 10 years ago.

For the initial (Leningrad) Tiger 1 use the DML 3 in1 kit

For the Afrika/Standard Early issue Tiger 1 use the DML/Cyberhobby kit

David,
thank you for digging the C01"Grossdeutschland" reference out for me, very much appreciated.
I spent 8 hours on the Bundesarchiv and finaly signed up for an account.
This is the one:

The text says:
Sowjetunion-Nord, bei Kirowograd.- Zwei Panzer VI "Tiger I" des II. SS-Pz-Korps "Das Reich" bei Fahrt auf einem Weg in verschneitem Wald; PK Fs AOK
North Soviet Union close to Kirowograd, two Panzer VI "Tiger I" from the SS-Pz-Korps "Das Reich" driving through a snowy forrest.

Erik,
I guess that Tamiya's kit is stil my best option?

Thank you for your interest.

As allways

Tamiya's early Tiger is your best option. Academy has one as well but I don't know anything about it.

Hi all,

I would like to join the growing group of people who start their project threads "Ohh no, not another Tiger..." Stick out tongue and can think of no better way then trying to build another picture that I unfortunately have lost:
A convoy of army vehicles are coming in a line towards the photographer on a road through a winter forest, the first in the line is a Tiger I.
The commander is looking into the camera.
The commander’s cupola is the early style.

I would be most grateful for some help again;
Could you guys give me a suggestion on what the picture is so I can get hold of it in the Bundesarchiv?
And could you also please help me with a suggestion to what the best early Tiger I still around is?

As always
