Ahh, the infamous aluminum barrel seam. I believe this may have been the incident that sparked our beloved feldmarschall's decline in builds.....

Manstein, I really do hope that you're kidding and are not still upset about not winning gold... The vignette I had there at AMPS that took gold didn't even place at the Dallas IPMS show the previous spring. The results will vary widely depending on the show, the judging style and the judges themselves. One cannot EXPECT to win anything at a show no matter how hard they worked on something much less expect a gold or 1st place every time.

Anyway, better luck next time! Big Smile

Anyone have a picture of the 'seam'?  I think we should do an honorary rejudging.

"There is no crying in modeling... hush now."

I now have a new sign to hang up in my workshop.  And I had to explain to the wife why I was laughing so hard over Hitler...hard to explain.

Found it very hard to follow as I understand German and knew what old Adolf was saying, so I had to focus on all the free time you had for undertitles. Sorry manny but I still have the barrel incident in my head every time I enter a show...always have to think of you buddy. In ten years it will still be fresh in my head... man that sucks what they pulled on you dude.

Like the video, and of course will watch my metal barrel seams in the upcoming AMPS International show.

Manny your still Gold to us bro, no matter what Adolf says.

Reminds me of another one done in late 09 regarding a well respected reviewer's review. I checked youtube and that one's still there. That one was very funny but the captions use some curse words not appropriate for younger audiences. Recaptioning Internet Hitler is often very funny though.

I regret doing this, but here is my favorite Hitler parody.  I'm from Minnesota...and his reaction is typical of many of my friends and family.

EDIT

You should search Brett Farve hitler parody on your own, it has some adult language as well.

L-O-V-E-D it.  The best part is the captions so I get to enjoy the video clip... without it I would be lost.

Manny, where is my dead cow??? Sad  You promised us...

Manny? Hmmm. let's think about this.  He still has the scoring sheet taped to a wall.  there are circles around the comment about the seam.  Arrows with jagged edges are drawn pointing to the commenting judges initials.  He throws darts at it regularly with such force the barrel is almost against the drywall. Once, he hit the initials dead solid perfect.  The rusting dart still protrudes from the wall with a chicken's foot dangling in hopes of some sort of Voodoo mojo.  Often, when walk by the tattered document, he will mutter to himself, "Here, I'll give you something seamless." Then he breaks wind on the judges spirit.

Nah, he hardly thinks about it.

OH, how to fit that on a t-shirt!
