The Achilles and the Pz-IV look good....  and seem to be the most popular vote-wise.

A build with both perhaps?

Enjoy the ride!

Hi DoogsATX,

I also am currently in the dark-side, gotta say though, everyone is pretty friendly and willing to help. there is something about German aircraft and armour that keeps atracting me to them, maybe its the colour schemes, or is it the great designs, what ever it is go German.

Alright...I'm going to call it in 1.5 hours...5 PM CST...so get your votes in if you haven't! C'mon, don't you want a free internets?

At the moment, the Achilles still leads with 16 votes, but the Panzer IV is within range at 11. Nothing else is really in contention.

Thanks P38, considering the rate at which I build goofy comments are pretty much all I'm bringing to the forum.

BTW: If Manny shows up outside the gates of Troy with a large wooden horse - um flying wing, DO NOT TAKE IT INSIDE!!!

It's full of Greek cats that will break out in the middle of the night and burn down your city!!!

229 Greek cats, to be exact...

You know I was thinking you should have the Achilles dragging the defeated Panzer IV around the walls of Troy in a victory lap while madly ringing the cowbell as a further insult...

Sounds like full disclosure to me, so you're clear on the fraud charges. Voter tampering, however....

Vance,

That's ok. I voted on my laptop, my gaming rig, my iPad, my wife's iPad, our two iPhones and my Blackberry.  Does that constitute voter fraud?Smile

Vance, I think Doogs has us all outsmarted by connecting our IP addresses with the votes, so stuffing the ballot box might be tough.  Unless you hop on a dozen or so public WiFi nodes.  That may work.

I just tried to vote again.  Didn't let me, even after clearing my Internet cache and deleting all those damn "cookies".  Good thing, I was getting hungry.

Well.... If I was so inclined, there are 7 computers in this office other than mine, plus several people with Blackberries, and I've got an iPod Touch w/ browsing capability. If there are suddenly 10 extra votes for Achilles, you'll know what I've been up to at lunch today! Whistling

You know...that movie could have actually been pretty good if it hadn't been for 1) casting Brad Pitt as Achilles and 2) the last 20 minutes. Eric Bana, Brian Cox, Sean Bean, Peter O'Toole, Brendan Gleason...all fantastic. Wolfgang Petersen's direction was pretty good too. But I never for a second bought Pitt as Achilles.

Uh, in your list of fantastic actors you had one small over sight...you left out Orlando Bloom....egregious on your part, I know you'll never do it again. Apologize to the masses then please, start building the Achilles and we can forget this ever happened....thanks.

I know, Brad Pitt just isn't, well, Greek enough. I enjoyed it, but can't remember watching it more than a couple of times.

I'm still very much a rookie when it comes to armor - but I'll do my best to do the thing justice!

Having looked at your Sherman I am sure you will do it justice.  Oh and my vote is for the Achilles.

Manstein's revenge

Panzer IV...

You don't need to do this model.....

This is not the model that you are looking for.......

You may go about your business building the Achilles......

Move along.......

As of this morning, it's looking like it'll come down to the Achilles (12) or the Panzer IV (8).

Anybody still want to get a vote in? I'm going to keep the poll going until Saturday evening...

 VanceCrozier:

A little brass cowbell would be the finishing touch, sitting alongside some spent ammo & other crew items. It can be your new signature, a cowbell hidden in every finished kit!

With the crew items? Nah, dangling off the rear hitch!

Now I have to figure out how to scratch a cowbell. Thin brass sheet and one of those push pins with a ball head? Maybe Hobby Lobby sells really small bells. Hmm...

Overheard in a German gun position...

Hans, is that American armoured brigade??? No Adolf, it sounds like a herd of large cattle...

BOOOMMMM!!!!
