Now that thing is seriously cool!

I love it. It looks like a battalion of them should be lined up aiming at Godzilla or some other rubber-costumed invader in a B monster movie.

Great model... great build. Now, that's gonna take up some shelf space.

I wonder the reasoning behind the 152mm and not the more common 155? Seeing that these are deployed to Afghanistan, its got to be a one-of-a-kind/system-specific logistics PIA... No?

Cool subject... great job.

Thanks,
Kevin Keefe

Probably because it is made by a former Warsaw Pact nation using existing Soviet calibers.

Understood but being deployed as part of a NATO force, I'd probably ask/demand to leave the 'weird stuff' home but, I suppose that in this day and age, you take what you can get as a show of force/solidarity.

Butt, that's just me. Propeller

Thanks,

WOW, Phaisal--Art Instructor jumped on this kit and did it proud! I was a little disappointed at first that he didn't go in for the camo pattern, but upon looking at the finish and the perfectly subtle weathering that he did, I have to say that it's a great job. He's a fine modeler, for sure!

You should put a figure next to it to show the scale--I understand that this is one huge model?!

Rob, apart from that I'd suggest a battalion of these SAM-6:

Kevin, Thanks so much for your kind words.

Karl, Thank you so much for your kind compliments! Lately AI's speed has dropped a lot. It took him 40 days to finish this (plus 6 other pieces). He should have finished them in a few weeks only. But it's up on him how long it will take. I didn't instruct him as to what color to paint so I think he followed the boxart, maybe because it's easier to show weathered look than camo one. You're right about adding a figure to show the size of the armor. It's too late for this one, but I'll use some for new built kits.

This one is not really huge, it's about the same length with M977/978 but much heavier - as if built of resin, not plastic.

Rob, apart from that I'd suggest a battalion of these SAM-6:

Those would be useless against Godzilla. Remember, he has firey breath and lazer eyes. He can destroy missiles before they reach him; direct fire weapons or King Kong are the only ways to defeat Godzilla.
