Chazzer:  Sorry to hear about the health problems.  Sincerely hope you feel better soon.  Try to relax and think warm thoughts about your contributions to the Panzer III GB. Big Smile

Guys, It seems like that snake bite is back to bite me in the a$$. It seems the copperhead bite did a bit more damage than thought. It's been breaking down my red blood cells. I have been going through some pretty hairy health care problems that have left me with an imunodefinincy (easy to get sick, etc..) I had chemo last year with some great success but a depressed immune system. That coupled with the snake bite has sent my body into a tailspin. I might need some transfusions and futhur treatment.  I have nothing but positive thoughts for the next few weeks. That being said... Lady Gaga.....

Its interesting with the Disney characters in WWII and just prior. They were painted on vehicles of both the Axis and Allies. Mickey Mouse in particular, Donald Duck as well, Italians used him, as well as the British (on Polish Pilot in particular) . This is just each generation placing their cultural icons on their war vehicles. There were cartoon characters on Italian WWI aircraft. Some one would probably find an even earlier reference as well.

At least one Italian squadron used "Pistol-Pack'n Pete" as an insignia.  Adolf Galland's squadron used Mickey Mouse.

And i will bet none of those who told him to grow up had never been anywhere near a front line and so had no idea what young soldiers do to bring a little colour into a tour.

Now whos going to be the fiorst to do Lady GAGA. And no rude comments please. Whistling

It's like this, they think you're immature if you want to put Transformers logos on a modern AFV. I guess all those "immature" men who put Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse and other cartoon nose art on their aircraft back in WW2 probably weren't real men.

It reminds me of a time on another popular modeling website when someone was asking about the availability of decals of the Transformers logos in 1/35 scale. Members of that site basically told the OP to grow up and go to a lesser site and ask.

The fact is that there are Transformers decals made for 1/35 scale vehicles because there are 17, 18, 19, 20, etc. year old soldiers that cut out stencils and painted them on their vehicles in theater.

This was confirmed by photos and personal observations. Funny thing is that if you think about it, guys who build items normally associated with "toys" telling other folks to grow up in regards to markings.
