Amazing

And very insightful process.

When I get to mine I hope it's half as good as your build.

Holy smokes, Mike - that looks awesome!! All of the extras really make the display, too...that tool chest is spot-on.

Looking forward to seeing it in person at AMPS East in the fall! Toast

This might have been covered earlier in the thread, but what vehicle would one use to tow this guy around?

Marc - Thanks for the peek and yes it should be at AMPS East. As for the vehicle, it would be the M4 18 ton High Speed tractor....which is my next build

Here is what the combination would look like

About the only thing I can add to all that's been said is that one reason this build is so good is that you can tell it was done by someone who's been there, done that! Great job Mike! (Still reminds me of west range though) Big Smile

Gene - Thanks for looking and the comment is very appreciated. As we all try to bring realism to our builds, it is good to hear from a fellow Redleg that my memories bring back memories in others.....ahhh the west range

Thanks again

Are you kidding? I base my work on yours for just trying to get that clean accurate look. I like to dirty it up a little more and make it look battle hardened but the basic concept of making a coherent setting comes from your work. I have enough military experience and knowledge for a lot of things but your attention to detail is great.

It's like a puzzle and everything in your work fits, except not having slings on the m16s....ha ha ha ha ha. Seriously all the pieces fit and match, the colors are correct and all the little details are done. So many times I see little things that modelers bypass like a seam here or there, not on your work, no seams or sloppy paint, just enough weathering to make it look realistic.

I found this great stuff for scratch building especially figures, Aves Epoxie. Cleans up with water and is so easy to work with, it's amazing stuff. I thought I would pass that on.

I bought a camera and hope that my work will be finished soon, I will put pix up. It takes a long time, I am trying so hard to get every detail right. My first work was destroyed. This is taking a long time due to my health issues.

I bought some bronco M114A1s but bought the older barrels so now it will be correct for Vietnam, if I ever get to build them.

Noah - Thanks for the flattering comments. I especially like the puzzle comment. Dirt for me is a mood. VN always requires at a minimum lots of dust. As this was Korea I was a bit lighter on the dirt, but as I said it's a mood.

I have used the Aves Epoxie.....great stuff. Glad to hear you got your camera. As for the "pig"....got one myself...I hope to get to it soon.

Thanks again

Johan - Thanks for stopping in and glad to be an inspiration...Glad you like the details.

Thanks again guys
