................For what it is worth MTVR is on the 2012 -13 list of Trumpeter releases. whether it will really be released, during that time period, is anyone's guess.

Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement.  It is the 7-ton truck the USMC adopted to replace the 5-ton 800 and 900 series trucks.

Yup, a pretty beefy, bad-a$$ looking truck too.

Trumpeter's build-up of it from 2 years ago.  It looks like it will be nice if it ever comes about.

Yup, and the best part is that the MTVR was the prime mover for the M198...

...and is now the prime mover for the M777.

Now we just need Trumpeter to do an M777 to go with it when it comes out.

The MTVR is now available.  I have one.  It looks really nice.  I am currently working on a build review of it for Armorama.  Keep an eye there for the review soon.

Looking forward to the review.  When we first got these things it took some getting used to, after years of debarking from 5-tons this thing felt like jumping from a rooftop the first couple times out.  Given its actual size I am guessing there is a hefty amount of plastic in the box.

You got that right.  Large vehicle, lots of detail = lots of parts in a packed box.  It looks like a great kit so far.  No real issues.  More to come later.

The kit is very well engineered, nearly builds itself ! the TAK 4 suspension is a kit in itself. I'm currently scratch building the MK 36 wrecker version utilizing this kit . The WIP build can be found here..

It is a great kit that can look even better with a little extra work.

Very good review, Gino. What markings come with the kit?
