Just awesome Dwight! I really like how it finally turned out after you left it marinated for too long.Lol
I'm itching to start mine but I still have a stuart and a 1/72 panther (finally trying this, just curious at how small these kits are. Almost getting cross eyed) pending. Your work on this tank will surely be an inspiration. Looking forward to seeing more of your works.Big Smile [:D]Cool [8D]

Dwight, outstanding job and I like the accessories. The devil is in the details, all that useless garbage of jerrycans, buckets, ration boxes and sleeping bags.

Yeah, at half the price of an ordinary Tamiya 1/35 kit, I'll go for it anytime of the day. He-he-he.

I think I learned a good trick about them baggage for this build. Using tinfoil for straps as well as not applying a wash on them. I just painted them dark khaki and drybrushed with dark yellow. The instructions never showed that the straps were to be painted brown but I figured it will look better with an accent.

Gary: Thanks.

LQ2: Sorry for the late response. But I'll probably be off the workbench for the next 2 to 3 weeks. Or until such time that I lose my sanity and need to return to the workbench. LOL.

Sorry Gary. I live in Pasig and work in Makati. Festival mall is quite far from me but I have heard of those tanks. Haven't actually seen one though. How about you? Do you live in Alabang area?

Tigerman: Thanks for the compliments but I think the kit just looked nice by itself. Academy did a good job on this one. And it was low priced, too. He-he-he.

Dwight, this is off-topic but have you been to festival mall lately?
i was there yesterday and i saw this 1/15 bandai rc tanks. there are selling it for 11,995 pesos. the good thing is, they slashed 50% off the price!
have you seen that model? it's at wonder toys store, displayed just at the door, two big boxes left. you might wanna check it out, just forgot what tanks. as far as i can remember, it's a german and allied tank.
are they any good? i know bandai company makes those gundam figures.

You're a true artist with both computers, and plastic Dwight. I like the photograph staring down that long barrel. It sure don't look OOB.

Super Super Sherman you've got there Dwight! Looks great!
Good thing they don't have many trees in Israel, that barrel overhang would be a major pain in the woods!
Great looking photos too.

Gary:

Salamat. (Thanks)

I glued strips of tin foil (as straps) to the bags. Once they have permanently joined with the bag, I painted them bent them to the desired shape (hooked). I then just hung the bag using the tin foil straps. Then once the bags are in place I just adjusted the bend of the straps to conform with the shape of the bars. When doing this (bending) some paint will chip off from the tin foil. Retouch as necessary.
