Oh I remember that thread well Karl (in fact I now remember I posted some neat video of the Stuka tank killers in action....I am gonna have to go back and watch that as it was some excellent footage)!  It was the great scandal of the time.  That one of the dark sides most prolific builders would defect to the world of wing things was unthinkable!  And then the great controversy....the "great paint" episode was epic.  It had many a wing-thing and dark-sider wondering would he really send that poor little gull winged bird to it's de-"feet" (or would that be de-"foot"!?!? ;) )

All kidding aside though, I understand what you mean.  As a wee itty bitty kid I built only airplanes.  When I got back into modeling "seriously" it was with the "YEAH!  AIRPLANES RULE" attitude.  And yet, for every 2 airplane kits I seem to start, and never finish, is the armor project that gets done start to finish. :)
