ARMOR 1/48

Since Tamiya has come out with 1/48 scale armor, would anyone know of any manufacture(s) making a M48A Patton in that size?

The only M48 in 1/48 I know of is an old snap tite one made by Monogram. Modern armor is very limited in 1/48. There are a handfull of old weak kits made by Academy and Tamiya that are more of R/C toys than scale models,  but no good 1/48 tracked AFV new molds in injection plastic.

All I can find is "Shade" Patton Tank 1/48 scale SnapTite skill 1 Revell plastic model kit #1756

Tamiya did a set of three M60 based motorized kits, the straight M60, M60A1 and M60A1E1 (prototype M60A2) all basically the exact same kit with a different turret sprue. Kitech and Zhengdefu did the M60A3 and M60A1 but are also motorized toys.

Beyond that Fujimi did a 1/50-1/48 scale M48A2. I have all the kits I've mentioned and it compares in scale to the Tamiya kits as well as the old Monogram snap tite kit I've got. I't the original version but it's the same kit pictured above. None of these kits are serious models and are more like motorized toys.

Yeah, there is definitely a lack of 1/48 Armor stuff.  Hey, anybody for another 1/48 armor build, the last one I started I think was at least 2-3 years ago.
