Built this for a Friend.  Did some mild weathering and made a sandy base for display.

Hi there, I believe they were really used.  Not many though. I masked off the windsheild and misted a sand color over it.  I used a compass with a blade on one end to get the curve.

Looks good...maybe a few (a lot of) ammo cans at the ready. What's there won't last long. At 485-635 rounds per minute, each 100 round .50 caliber can will be empty in as little as 8 to 13 seconds.

Beautiful job, my daughter drove this with the Patriot missiles at Fort Hood. She is only 5'-1" tall and seeing her inside of this demonstrated just how big they really are!  Well done Cody!

Now THAT is just wicked-cool! Nice paint and weathering with the rusted parts! Did the doors realy rust like that too?

You ought to put some tire tracks in that sand behind the wheels. Surely that beast would make tracks in the sand? Add a few ground details too to put it in context. Some rocks maybe, and a few barrels always looks good to provide an environment. That's the only thing I could see that is missing!

Karl, the doors have add-on plate on them, looks like it went on unpainted, hence the rust.

Now I would like to see some more Vietnam gun tucks built!

Cody - nice work on that gun truck, keep 'em babies comin' and have a nice day
