That's good to know. I hadn't dug it out of my stash yet to look. Maybe I could build the Marder III AND the Pz IV. That might be too ambitious though.

Well, depends on your build speed Jim. 2 armoured kits in a years isn't to bad, of course, also depends on what else you have on. I need to try and get two armoured kits done by June, that after i finish an 88. That Pz IV kit seems popular. One is being built in the 44 GB, and i might be adding mine to either one as well yet, still not decided for either GB.

David, thanks for ther support. Looks like we have enough intertest to make this a go.

I should be able to do 2 without much trouble. I don't think the Marder will be as involved as the Pz IV. Anyway, I have plenty of time to make up my mind about that.

You and me both Bish!!

I just saw the thread in the GB forum!  I'll think about what I want to do and post it.  I'm thinking something late war....perhaps a T-26 Pershing?

I know it's still early days, but I think we have enough interest to make this a go.

I know a few guys are like myself and build mainly if not solely German armour, but there have been a couple who have said they would go for both and a few others that I know occasionally build Allied stuff. so I think its looking good.

So I think we can safely say start planning your builds.

Decisions decisions.

DOH! Dunce  I THOUGHT I was bouncing back and forth between this forum and the GB forum, but it turns out I had two pages with the Armor forum on it!  What I saw was actually this same thread.....oops!

As for the Pershing.....I really do need more U.S. armor on my shelf and I've already got a couple of Shermans there, so the Pershing would be a great choice as I already have the kit in the stash!

O, I know that feeling Ernest. There's been a couple of times I have put build progress in the wrong GB. Once in a GB I wasn't even in.

I blame it on all the glue and paint fumes.

I've got about 19 Shermans in the stash and a couple of Pershings, Sounds like something I'd be interested in, plus I've been without a Sherman build in progress for a couple of months now, and I've been wanting to do the Hobbyboss Super Pershing in the stash. Hmmm....

Just been finalising a few things with eagle. The GB threads for this will be going up this weekend.

For those who may be interested but are involved in any of the 3 other armour GB's, keep in mind that this one will run until May of next year, so plenty of time for all the heavy metal.

No worries. Just give us the kit details, and we can add you to the rosters. If anyone else wants to put in their builds before we put the threads up, just post them here.

Ooh a Firefly AND a Brummbär? Two very nice looking vehicles!

I still have to decide on what I want to build... Here's what I could see myself building for this one:

  • M4A3E8 (old Dragon)
  • M4A3E8 (Tasca)
  • M4A3 105mm w/ HVSS suspension (Dragon)

  • King Tiger Henschel (Tamiya)
  • King Tiger Henschel (Dragon)
  • King tiger Porsche w/ Zimmerit (Dragon)
  • Pz. IV Ausf.J (Dragon)
  • Panther w/ Zimmerit (Dragon)

I'll just let you decide on what tanks I'm going to build Wink Only one pick each for Axis and Allies though...

I am gonna do a Sherman Jumbo using the Tamiya kit  and some various upgrades: new barrel, tracks, tranny cover, roadwheels... Based off of this photo of 3rd Armored Division in Koln

Stik, that Jumbo will build really nice.

SS, the King Tiger or Panther w/ Zim are real beasts and the E8 from Tasca is hard to beat.

One of these days I'll get to a Tasca A4 just to try those resin bogies, but I just can't get away from the GB's.

This front page is going to be awesome.

You always here about how SHERMAN wasn't a threat to the Landers  but those jumbo SHERMAN look deadly with the long barrels are they 76mm. ?
