Can somebody tell me what tank is depicted in the movie "The Beast of War" ?
I know it's a soviet T-... model but what number ?

yup, but it mounts a 105, instead of a 100mm. don't know how many times i've seen that movie. gonna watch again too Big Smile [:D]

It is the Israeli captured T-55 that model companies make as the Ti-67. The Ti-67 has a NATO style 105mm main gun. If you have the DVD and do a close inspection of where George fires up his Afghan crewmember, the DshK machine gun is actually a US M2HB .50 cal machine gun dressed up to look pretty convincing.

We had a pretty thorough discussion on the tank last month or so. Esci/AMT did one and Trumpeter does one.

It could be the re-pack of the older ESCI one and I've heard some unkind comments on the ESCI one. Hopefully this is a new-tooled one.

Someone has already identified the Italeri T-55A(M) as the former Esci kit. My guess is that the Ti-67 is the old Esci kit. I did not think the Esci T-55 series was very bad though. I picked up a few of them when they were at the Odd Lots clearance shops for $4.99.

Hehe, that just reminded me of so many war movies I saw. I fount Patton in particular very funny. Those didn't look like german tanks to me.... :)
