I'm late to the party, but that tank is a beast and looks awesome! Great build!

I've been off the forms for awhile and been wondering about this build, it came out really nice I like the subtle weathering.
Very nice!
Agreed, Wayne. I wish I had some of this stuff sooner. Its almost magical lol. I clean it with Dawn and tap water without a single issue. It even lays down perfectly when I dilute with a touch of Dawn and tap water. The stuff is amazing in comparison with Model Master enamels.

M. Brindos I'll tell you right now, you're going to love that Vallejo paint. I've got the set for U.S. Green vehicles. It's wonderful stuff. :)

i have been using Vallejo and Valejo Air for over a year and really like it. i prome everything and have had no lift off with tape or silly putty. i have oil washed and powdered over the paint wothout a sealer with no problems either. it brush paints nicely too. it is also easy to modulate colors due to the built in dropper. i haven't quite got the misting down yet and i have not tried their washes yet.
DO NOT USE WINDEX TO CLEAN YOUR AIRBRUSH. spent the few bucks and get the Vallejo thinner and Vallejo airbrush cleaner.
like the build. i built a Dragon 1/72 Porsche and really enjoyed the build. i rarely do ww2 armor but that damned 1/25 Jagdpanther jeeps calling my name. like i really need another huge kit in the stash.

Sorry I just found your build. I love the way your Jagdtiger looks. I have a set of those tracks as well. I was planing on using them on a early version of a KT.
You are inspiring me to get it ready in the build line up.
Keep up the great work.
Kim
I would like to thank everyone for their interest ,comments, and encouragement in following along.Except for the difficult the tracks,I would highly recommend this kit as a great building experience.
I have an earlier version of this kit that didn't have the zimmeritt molded in. Also decided that trying to glue the 6 parts together would just not work so I went a more difficult route and drilled holes in the parts. Got about 10 link sets assembled before a bigger project hit and have not been able to get back to it yet.
Yes, I made the kit tracks articulate. A touch stiff, but fully articulate. I looked and never discovered the Friul version for the early Porche tank. Not a biggie, glad to see another early JadgTiger assembled with the correct tracks.
Looking good!
Well done indeed, Tojo! I love what you did. Its simple and very well done. Outstandng finish on this one. :)
Looks intimidating that's for sure.....
and those tracks really turned out very well.
You need a nice but simple base for this.
Nice work on the giant brute!

I always liked the look of the Porsche wheels, but the tracks on the Dragon kit was complex, so I opted for the easier Dragon Henschel roadwheels version.
You did a sweet job Anthony. Your style is a little like mine, weathered without overdoing it. Love Jagdtigers.

Man, that looks totally great. I prefer the look of the Porsche JT with skirts, too. It looks like an armored hippopotamus. With a big gun!
Anthony she looks fantastic, weathering looks great and I think the wheels came out nice. Cool build and I love that kit.
Terry
Work to be proud of for sure. Well covered build, thank you. I have this kit in my stack. Will have to save up for those metal links.
I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Very nice work, really like the paint work and detailing. I hope my kit comes out as good as this one.
Finished up today, thanks for the looks and the comments.
Tojo72 Thank you Karl,I just didn't get the technique down right, probably takes some practice, was somewhat hesitant.I used lighter on top,but not the lightest, was a little leary.I need to buy something old and cheap to give it a real go.

That eally looks nice, Anthony. That's one of my favorite AFVs. You did a nice job on it. It looks appropriately lethal!
Curious about the paint--on the box, that Jgdpz IV looks to be painted much like I would have done it, with a very light top, graded down to darker DY. Your JT looks a bit more monotone. Was this a decision on your part, or do the shading gradients in that package of paint not provide you with the true shades to provide such "Scale Effect" contrast? I would have put a lot lighter coat of DY+White on the top, but you probably know that already, lol. Curious though, how you used the Vallejo offering?
Guys, thanks for the encouragement.I added a wash and streaking grime.I'm waithing on some burnishing fluid for the Fruils.
Wow, Anthony, you are really crankin' on this one, looks good.
I used those same Friuls on a Tamiya Tiger2 (P) I did a while ago, and with the jig in the box actaully had them together pretty quickly. I'm in the first stages of doing some SpadeAce JS-2 split link tracks now, no jig, and it's going slower than those Friuls did.
Apprentice rivet counter.
Looking solid so far.
That filter gives it a wonderful tone. Well done with just that one trick so far.
I'm looking forward to more Tojo! :)
Back from vacation and some bench time, got the base coat and filter applied.
Looking good so far Anthony. Looking forward to the paint.
