I have just about completed construction. Just a few more minor things to add. Here is how it looks overall. The side stowage baskets are resin items given to me a few years ago by a fellow modeler. They build up well and add dimension to the racks that the Eduard metal ones lacked, in my opinion. On the turret, I backdated the Gunner's Primary Sight (GPS) box to the smaller older version. I used a cast of the Tamiya M2A2 ODS kit GPS and added doors and detail parts from the Tamiya M2A2 ODS as well as a few detail parts from the Meng kit, and some scratch parts. I also rebuilt the right side armor next to the TC back to the older "T" style armor plate at the bottom.Next, I used older style ammo can boxes from the Legend M2A3 set.I installed Academy side skirts since they do not have the ERA mounting bars. I had to reshape the front left corner since it was too tall. In the process, I also cut the wrong angle and had to attach a filler piece to restore the correct shape.Lastly, I had to restore the tray that held the swim barrier across the top of the rear ramp. I used sheet styrene, angle styrene, and Archer rivets on it.That's it for now. As usual, all comments are welcomed.

Gino- will do. We might get a couple of inches in February, I'll post a pic before it melts, probably later in the same day.....
Apprentice rivet counter.
SMJmodeler - Thanks for the compliments. I really like adding the small details. I guess it is kind of adding my own touch.
HeavyArty: What a feast for the eyes! I wish I had your patience for detailing stuff like that. It feels like my first studio apartment, probably about the same size too. It even has the "motivational" poster too!
Tour-de-force work there!
Thanks guys. I'm glad you like it.
Rbear - Yup, my brother is in Austin and sent me a pic of him sittimg on the deck in shorts with beer in hand as I was blowing/shoveling almost 3 feet of snow. Enjoy it while you can.
This is turning put to be one of the best-detailed models I've seen in a long time here. Absolutely some of your finest work, Gino!
Wow Gino, excellent work, as always.
Meanwhile, here in Texas, it's 65 and sunny...... ya'll enjoy that white stuff.
On my bench: Academy 1/35 UH-60L Black Hawk
Thanks Mike. Ahh, the fond days of living out of a bag for weeks on end in a small space with a few other smelly guys. Yup, those were fun days....in a strange way.
OUTSTANDING.....love the little things, the helmet on the seat....the magizine....look like maps lying around.....the open carton.....life in an APC is a mess!!! Controlled, but a mess. Long weekend with the snow here in the east. Great to get in some bench time!
Watch your cherry juice in the cold!!
Rounds Complete!!

Thanks Mike. I hope some of it is helpful.
I just started over from the beginning just to go over all of this detail all over again. Still blows me away, Gino.

Thanks Gamera and jibber. I like making them look realistic and lived in. For me, the detailing is the fun part.
I've always loved your work Gino and this is no exception. Your attention to detail and actually doing it is most impressive. Masterful.
Terry
Looks great Gino, love that lived-in look.
Btw: Guess I'm lucky, neighbor has an all-terrain vehicle with a blade and came over and scraped ours out.

Looks like we are getting the Snowpocalyse here in the DC area. About 32" so far. Between snow blowings of the driveway, I have been at the bench. I have completed detailing and filling the interior with gear. I added MREs, water bottles, ammo cans, maps, magazines, etc... Here it is so far.Even a "motivational" poster taped to the ceiling. I have also added a map, MRE bag, ammo can, pack and a magazine to the turret as well.Looks like it almost time to blow off the driveway again. Hope you like the work so far.
Gino, your level of detail, Accurate detail, makes me feel like a second rate hack.
Truly superb workmanship here.
Bruce - Thanks for the compliments. I just build 'em as I see 'em. That was probably the last update for a while. Off on a little vacation to FL for the holidays.
Holy crap, Gino! That detailing is outstanding! Literally, my jaw dropped!

HeavyArty Karl, Karl, Karl... You had to say the "f"-word, didn't you. Fire for Effect!! It will get a proper "wash" and some drybrushing. No artys-fartsy filters for me.

Mike - Yup, the ol' Zone and Sweep or maybe the "8 rounds all bursting in air at the same time" trick would be easier, but nothing easy is ever worth it. And we think alike on weathering as well. Keep your powder dry over the Holidays!
Holy crap.....more complicated than a zone and sweep (artillery joke). Damm....i keep thinking clear panels....or LED lighting.... or raise roof held up by clear rods.... So for this month when we look up anal, your picture is there!.... Very nice....PS you know me...love old school....real equipment does not "modulate"
cb1 - Thanks for the compliment and I hear you on the smell. The interior smell of an armored vehicle with a bunch of guys living in it for weeks on end is unique (to say the least). The best way I can describe it to anyone who has not been in the Army is think a combo of sweaty armpits and baked bean farts....
great job! all that is "missing" is the smells of the interior - LOL
gives me some good memories. I spent a lot of time inside those things. (A0 version)
HeavyArty I have completed detailing the interior.
I have completed detailing the interior.
You ARE going to put some proper filters over the paint job when it's done, right? .. (Tora, Tora, Tora! -- running for my life, lol! )
SMJmodeler - Thanks for the compliments. Yup, all the hatches will be opened so you can see as much of the interior as possible. Unfortunately, the turret hatches are small and the angle of the driver's hatch doesn't show off much of the interior. I know it is all there though.
HeavyArty: With all that interior detailing I'd leave every hatch and door open as possible! That is some spectacular work...and there's weathering still to come, WOW!!!
Not a stupid question at all.
Thanks Gino, maybe it was a stupid question but I was wondering
