The Quad 50, I just built the kit and its pretty good but be careful when mounting the 50's because it can be a little tricky, goodluck on whatever you choose! Smile [:)]

Chris, here's a review on the DML Kettenkradrad w/Pupchen, if you're interested:

http://www.kitreview.com/reviews/kettenkraftradreviewcs_1.htm

And, DML is releasing another version of it with a small trailer holding a large reel of what I assume to be phone wire. I would guess the Kettenkrad part of the kit is the same in both.

Have fun with your build. We'll be expecting finished pics (without paint, of course) by tomorrow!! lol

Sounds fair to me Bill, both boxes are sitting on the bench waitng to see the light of day, actually probally be the light of a desk light since it'll be dark when I start on them.

That engine is pretty sad. I'll just have to be sure to cover it nicely with debris. Evil [}:)]

Sure a good thing you don't build the way I do, Chris.

About the Kettenkrad, I'd read that the engine on that kit wasn't the greatest! In fact, it was refered to as a "fishing sinker" sort of molding! The alternative being the 325 part DML kit! I just noticed that Eduard has a full blown pe set out for the DML kit! It costs almost as much as the DML kit!

Oh, by the way, since two of us (at least) mentioned the Kettenkrad in our voting, I think that should be included in the Sherman vote count, so it wins by at least 12 to 10!!

Ok since I'm ready to build something today It hink it's time tally the votes.
Quad- 10
Sherman - 10
Challenger - 5
Bradley- 1

Looks to be be a tie. Between the quad and the Shermie. If I lived in Fla, this could be a problem. Since I don't it's an easy decision, I'll just build both. Big Smile [:D] Need something to do while paint dries right .

Bill- It is the Tamiya kit. I think the deathwish stems from the process of putting it together and the amount of glue on my fingers compared to the kit not staying together. And I have not even begun to try to paint the tracks and roadwhell combination.

Stubfixer- Sorry , don't need your nieghbors cat. I have plenty of them to use around here that keep scratching my paint on my car. I have come up with way worse ideas than that for them though.Evil [}:)]

Oh, the Shermie for sure. But that' s because I want to see the Kettenkrafrad. Chris, it really sounds like you have a deathwish for that kit. Is it the DML or Tamiya? And, what did you not like about it? (Other than the 1/144 scale parts??)

LOL, thats pretty good Matt. And now since your vote and an offline request for it too that brings it to :

Quad - 8
Sherman - 7

Might be a photo finish after all.

I vote for the Sherman. Simply because I hate wastefulness and want to see Chris' Ketten recycled.
