Buy them some rubber stamps and some paper, then send them into another room to play.
Send them to a 'chick flick' I hear there's a new Stephen King movie out.
Send them to the pet store to look at puppies.
Give them $50 each and send them shopping
Tell them they look like they're getting fat and send them to the health club (this of course will cost you thousands of dollars before they feel 'thin' again)
Buy them a couple of snap together kits (the new VW Beetle and the Jetson's Saucer Car have lots of girl appeal) and let them work too!

Leave the house yourself and take your model with you.
Eat beans and.... they'll leave.
Belch a lot. They'll leave.

Just mention something you need from wal-mart, even a simple $1 thing, seems to keep my wife gone for hours. Of coarse that $1 will turn into $100 before she gets back!

Well, if shopping doesn't work, try beer and White Castles. The after effects should clear them out of the house. Evil [}:)]

Just give them your credit card, that should buy you enough time to complete the whole model, and more...Smile [:)]

"Give them $50 each and send them shopping"
If I do that, it'll leave me open to much greater requests...Mischief [:-,]

"Tell them they look like they're getting fat and send them to the health club "
If I did that, it'd be a good way to ensure that I'd have months of no modelling, as I'm fairly certain my broken and bruized body would just not be able to sustain any work.Dead [xx(]

Hmm, guess it's the shopping trip

Send them to a sappy chick flick that she has been wanting to drag you to for some time.

Send them to the beauty parlor and tell them to have their hair and nails done. That should keep them off for sometime.Evil [}:)]

It might be more expensive though.Disapprove [V]

OK try this. Get a piece of cardboard and the worst smelling enamel or lacquer paint you have in your inventory. Spray! and I mean spray and make sure that they smell it.

That'll drive them out of the house in a sec.Big Smile [:D]Big Smile [:D]Big Smile [:D]Big Smile [:D]

Smoked herring and a nice stout beer usually empties my house pretty fast. Ever smelled that exhaust? Nasty!

I'm with Dwight, when the wife starts hangin around a bit too much, I break out the rattle can of clear coat. I call it my "Karen repellent". Oddly enough she calls it the same thing.

Well, its been a while since I had a girlfriend, but lets see what I can remember....

Shopping, can be good, but depending on the girl, it may become a regular expectation for you to provide for.

Movie, not bad, kills a couple of hours, providing there's anything showing that she wants to see.

My last girlfriend detested grocery shopping unless I offered to cook dinner. If I did that and supplied a shopping list and the money (include a couple of things on the list you wouldn't find at a regular grocery store) she'd go all over half the city to find everything on the list. That of course put me on the hook for cooking, but it also got me those couple of hours uninterupted for model related stuff.

Give them near unlimited funds of cash, and tell them that they should take a relaxing day at the day spa, then they can go crash at the mall, with the remainder.
or there is always Valium

The primary way I get to work is while my wife is asleep. Keeps her hovering around and finding me "chores".lol Lately I haven't been able to touch my Abrams because she has been sleeping at the same time as ME!Disapprove [V]

My wife's an Occupational Therapist who helps people rehab after injuries. A lot of the work includes using their hands. I gave her a pair of tweezers and a four part 1/35 PE tool clamp and bet her if she could put it together, I'll take the kids and she can do what ever she wanted. A minute later I was alone and working on my build.

I sent my wife and son to Newcastle-upon-Tyne for a two week visit with her mother, AND her mother paid for the trip. I have spent a ton of time this past week in my workshop.

Hey Buff,
How's dear old Montreal doing? I used go about twice a month (from NYC) to catch my beloved Habs at the Forum. Haven't been back since they closed it. Stayed in a flat near McGill throughout the entire '93 playoffs. Man, that's a fun city!

Ausf and Spector,
Montreal just keeps on going and going. An incredibly easy place to have a great time. A real buzz about the place now that the Habs are playing some great hockey. The town will be rocking when the playoffs start in a couple of weeks. Spring hockey in Montreal rocks (even though we haven't had much latelyAngry [:(!]). Ausf, where did you stay? In 93 I lived in a flat on Lorne avenue above Amelio's Pizza.
