I'm glad you like it. 300 ft of drop at 1500 yards sounds excessive. I know the M2 has a longer heavier barrel than a Barret, and I don't recall that big of a drop at extreme ranges when I fired it.

And now this is all done! My first completed build of the year! Woohoo!
Really nicely done stik. Love the dusty finish, looks used but certainly not over done.
Great looking build.

Bish, Templar, and Gamera, thank you for looking and commenting. I'm sure that my dad would like it. I think the flash photos from last night washed out the finish a bit. I'm gonna try to get some natural light photos on here later today.
Looks great. Congrats on finishing your first of the year. It's a nice feeling. Lately I have been fooling around with figuring out how to take better photos of my models. I am not good at it. One thing I found was less light and more exposure time seems to make the model pop more. Even on my phone I can fool around with the camera settings. The colors, fading, weathering look much better. Just my two cents.

Thank you Griffin. These photos did come out okay. But the flash, just changes things up a bit, while it highlights the effects you mention. I gotta say that though, the new iPhone has the best camera and software for close up photos that I have used yet. Way beyond my feeble skills to fully exploit.

Thank you my friend. My dad and I butted heads over many things. But our service was not one of them.
Stikpusher, you did a great job on this build. I'm most impressed!

Very nice finish! And you have 7 more months to get 1 more model done for 2017

LOL! Yes I do! And thank you for the kind words. I am near the finish line on another project that I pulled off the sidelines... maybe a couple more weeks to go on that one...

I'm looking forward to you posing it next to something for scale. I have the feeling it's pretty tiny.
That's a neat little model, unusual subject.

I came across this while working on something else. I did not know about this fit.
Neither did I... very interesting, an Army gun mount in a Navy ship... thanks for showing that...

Great Job Stik! Nice level of weathering. And very nice to honor your father's service!

Man City and Tonka, thank you for looking in and your kind words. Yes, I would like to get at least one, or perhaps two more builds in for him this year, but I have a lot of other things ahead as well. I'm sure I can at least start one...
GMorrison I came across this while working on something else. I did not know about this fit.
At first i thought that might be a troop ship and the gun belonged to the troops being transported. Then i spotted the aircraft. Clearly some one thought the ship needed some extra punch.
