This would be great -- just in time for the Towed Gun group build. Patton's rescue of the beleagured Americans in the Bulge was really helped by M4 tractors tugging Long Toms, which would be quite nifty to model.

I'd say a Centurion with swappable parts to make it an Israeli Sho't for the 1967 and 73 Wars. They were the biggest tank battles in history after Kursk, so they really need to be represented. We have the T-55, main Arab combattant, so all we really need is the Centurion.

I'd really like someone to do (injected, I think there is at least one resin out there) some construction battalion dozers and road graders. I think this probably goes back to my memories of "The Fighting SeaBees" staring John Wayne. I'm sure all the services must have had their share of these types of support equipment, too.

Just to round out my USMC inventory, how about a M198 155mm, with or without one of the new 7-ton MTVRs as a prime mover? Or, I'd like to see the new AAAV in plastic. 1/35 of course.

I'm with amtracdaddy. My dad was a maintenance officer for Ontos's in Vietnam. I'd love to build a couple of 'em. I just picked up a Hobby Fan resin Ontos kit. It cost me almost 100 bucks!

How about new tool LAV IIIs (Strykers to the American military), with variants like the Coyote recon vehicle, troop carriers, ARVs, ambulances, etc. And maybe an M113A3.

i would like to see tamiya come out with a AVLB or a CEV witch is a combat engineer vehicle.the CEV'S when i was in the army were a M-60 tank with a dozer blade and a winch and the main gun barrel is cut down very short.

Actually, a 1/35th scale Toyota pick-up could be classified as military, as it is used in so many African wars! Just mount a 12.7mm gun or a .50 cal on it and you are ready to go ....

A Char would indeed be a nice choice. But before we speak too badly of old Mr. T, I have one word for you in refutation: T-55.

I still vote for the AMX-13 -- probably the only tank widely deployed in combat since WWII that doesn't have a decent model of it (the Heller kit is quite old, assuming it is even still available). I mean, there it was in the Indo-Pak wars, in the Arab-Israeli Wars, in African Wars. In the front line -- or the front of the front line, as it often filled recon roles in these armies.

The thing's been all over the place. And it was produced from the early 50's until the late 80's!

Still in active service in many Asian nations' armies. For all I know the French are still using them for their paras. I seem to recall images of some AMX-13's in a column in the recent French deployment to the Ivory Coast (could be remembering incorrectly). Now that's a veteran armoured vehicle.

Decal sheet could easily cover 30-40 nations, or more.

hi , one that is not WW2 german , is not full of ejector marks and is poorly researched , tamiya is no longer the top dog , it is being overtaken by dragon , Italeri, trumpeter , revell for kits produced and at lower prices , they must get the price right and the ones that modellers want not what they think they can sell ie german, sorry to say but is now done to death and it is time to move on , how about a nice 1930 american or british truck , or even a modern toyota pick up , loads more to do than what they turn out as new releases , which are now very tired old and poor models even when new , had to get off my chest . cheers ian

Only ONE kit? That's a tough one and I'd like to see somebody make all of these. I'd like to see a Char B to go with the early WWII German armor. Put an interior in it so those big side doors could be left open!

Or an updated and refreshed German halftrack series (now that they got the Famo dead on)?

Easy. I'd like to see the postwar tank that, after the T-55, is the most neglected topic of models -- the AMX13 French light tank. The thing has been at many a fight in the postwar era, and has served in many armies. It's been produced in many variants. What other tank would come with either Israeli or Nepalese markings?

As to things like King Tigers with interiors, well, that sounds like aftermarket territory to me, rather than diverting Tamiya's attention from an interesting new kit. Do we really need anything else for the King Tiger from Tamiya? Nah. We already have:

1) Old King Tiger
2) New King Tiger
3) Special King Tiger for Ardennes
4) Porsche King Tiger in big scale
5) Henschel King Tiger in big scale
6) King Tiger individual link tracks
7) Probably other King Tiger things too

I mean really -- the King Tiger is definitely the most overexposed tank in history.

I would love to see a British Valentine or Crusader tank. A Russian BT-7 or BT-5 would be nice also. Why can't they make some more field artillery like the 105mm howitzer?

That would make a cool diorama.
How ever you could only display it in the front yard.

O.K. the stryker would be good.
The M-88 A2 ARV would be nice.
A new MLRS system would also be very cool.

i would like to see more modern subjects..such as bradley variants..how about the m-992 faasv..or differant versions of the hemtt..i could only hope

I would also love to see a WWII Era steam or diesel German Locomotive and some civilian figures.
