                        Hello!

                        I am new to this group and just wanted to share with the lot of you what I am currently working on. I am almost done with it, just waiting for some Tamiya brass shells to arrive in the mail before I continue.

                        I was about to pick up this kit. I probably will eventually. I've yet to add a single Tiger to my collection, so one with a full interior would be very nice :)

                        I took a look through the buildup you had posted. The kit looks spectacular. You did an amazing job!

                        Thanks! I am/was working on this kit. I hit kind of a stall, and this gave me some motivation to continue! The insight and proplem solving is exactly what I was looking for!

                        Thas Tiger caused a hot discussion in Missing Links some months ago. Obviously this guy will have BIG problems for painting it so accurately as his assembly work, I guess.....

                        I used the "freehand" method with my Paasche VL ( #3 needle).

                        About Norman: Same as always I guess... but I only lived there since 2000, before that I was in OKC, coming from Germany in 1997... :)

                        Glad you like it :)

                        I saw that Tiger and, oh boy, what an awesome showcase! But painting it will be tricky, as he will find out. That's why , even on my mildly detailed Tiger I had to paint as I go... not my favourite thing to do, but I had to..... Came out allright.... I'd say... :)

                        Of course, I could have went crazy super detailing everything, but then again, the kit itself captures plenty of detail already, minus some of the more obvious things that I pointed out in my 'blog.

                        I have the same kit and am currently in the process of assembly. Thank you for the link to your site! It has answered more than a few questions and saved me a few hours of detective work. keep up the good work. Oh yeah, some of the pics seem a little dark to pick out detail but nonetheless a fine job!

                        Hey Rainer, your buildup of that kit is very impressive. It makes me want to finally build mine!

                        If you haven't already bought them, may I suggest instead of the Friuli treads the WWII Productions resin treads? I've had some friuli treads that have been fine and some that caused me nothing but misery, but I greatly prefer the WWII Prod treads to even the best Friuli experience, because they don't quadruple the weight of the kit like the Friuli do!

                        And WWII makes Tiger I treads ... I've got a set!
