I saw one on a website somewhere. I don't have the URL but I think I recall it was a bit pricey.... but very cool.

My first impression was...WWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWW, HOW COOL.
But you'd lose a lot of function, no? Jagdtiger didn't have a turret per se, so no rotation. How about a Sturmtiger kit and use the unused turret channel for the winch?Wink [;)]

You could scratch it like the guy did in FSM mag January 2004 Page 34 using the Tiger 2 as a base , but extending the main hull 21mm I believe . It doesn't look like that bad of a conversion if you look at the article , his came out just fantastic ! And with all the AM bolt and riviet detail kits available from various makers , you could trick it out real nice . Lets hope ABER follows with a tiger 2 detail set like the Tiger 1 , now that would be real cool ! I think a Jagdtiger would be a hit at a RC tank getogether Cool [8D]

Cheers for the feedback guys.

The reason I ask is that a german guy had one on eBay, which I was bidding for, and then he cancellled the auction. It looked like a conversion kit from the photo, so I hoped he had got it from a recognised source - cheers anyways.

A Tiger 2 PE set would be awesome.... but boy they are a handful Tongue [:P]

I've had a real itch to do a Jagdtiger too!! I read thru that FSM article and you guys are right. It would be a bit of work but looks like fun and that tank did turn out really nice looking.

I am finishing my 1/35 JT , and am very happy with the results , it was definatly inspired by that article , I love that tank ! Had it been introduced earlier in the war , (and with more research and development ) it would definatly have been a factor in WW2 ,the gun alone was just a terror ! Just a case of too little too late on all account with that one !

Hey Guys,

I got an email from www.backyardarmor.com (in the USA) just last week about the Jagdtiger kit and it will be avialble in June-July. Their is still a lot of detail work being done in both Germany and the USA on it now (PE I think!). Also I just got their new 'Easy Eight' upgrade for the Sherman and it is awesome! The resin parts are very good, great instructions & the huge decal sheet is incredible. I'll post some pictures after building it.

Thanks! 64
