Almost done!
Posted by Duke Maddog on Saturday, April 3, 2004 2:18 PM
Well, I'm finally starting to make some progress on this Scammell for once. Black Eye [B)]

Here are some pics I have. The first one shows it in the base coat, and the second shows the Camouflage Pattern for the European Theatre.

Now all I have to do is apply the decals and finish the details and weathering. Hopefully I can do it without something else breaking off!

That's a good looking transporter. Is it the Accurate Armour kit? Can't wait to see once it's finished.

Thanks! It is actually the Airfix kit in 1/72 scale. It's a real bear to build because every time I tried to get something else assmbled on it, something else broke off! This is the first time I've been able see the finish with this kit!

Thanks mark956. Always a pleasure!

Thnaks everyone! I won't really breathe yet until it is actually done, but yeah, it feels good to see the end of the effort on this. I started this over a year ago, but kept putting it aside for months on end because I would get so frustrated with it! Finally I'm getting it off my workbench!

Looking great Duke .... you certainly have a hand for these braille scale offerings.

Wish they made one in plastic in 1/35 scale. don't feel like selling my 1:1 scale car to purchase the A.A. offering.

It'll look fantastic if you load up a Shermie catching a ride.

Thanks for sharing.

Wow it's looking rather good for a small scale, Duke. Sure beats the 1/35 on space savings. You always do good on those little ones.

A great looking Scammel, Duke. I tried building one of those many moons ago but ended up so frustrated I gave it away. You did well !
