Canadian RG-31 Nyala (Kinetic Kit)

Hello Everyone!

My first time on the forums. I'm new to modelling so this is the 9th model I've built. Done a few planes, some modern, some WW2. Just experimenting to see what I like and try new technniques. I just build things that I have some sort of connection with. In this case the RG-31 we had when I was serving. Hopefully it's not too bad! I gave it my best shot.

That's some nice work! Really nice work on the AFV and love the weathering and dirt on the tires.

Did you modify her to resemble the vehicle you served on or is this just a generic one?

Thanks for posting, hope you'll post more stuff!

Thanks Gamera, I appreciate the kind words!

My initial plan was to make the one that I drove but after finding some old pictures of it, I realized I already cemented in the wrong window frames so I abandonded that idea and just made a generic one. The kit didn't come with the windows that fit the frames I used (who knows why) so I had to buy a second kit (the mk5) just to get the right windows. Oh well, now I have another RG to build in the future!

Welcome DaresWins. Your RG-31 is very nicely done, I especially like the weathering. It's interesting to see what a military veteran thinks a model should look like and you wouldn't be the first to buy the same model twice. I've done that too.
