Future / Klear
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, April 20, 2004 9:09 PM
Hello fellow friends,

I read with great interest what Johnson Future / Klear can do. However, personally I have not tried it because here in Malaysia, I don't see this in our hyper markets. Appreciate it if someone could tell me what the replacement for this is.

On the other hand, what other alternatives other than Future / Klear?

Thank you.

Big Smile [:D]

It is just a clear acrylic floor wax with a high gloss finish , when wet it is quite watery. It just allows better flow of dark washes into crevices and around bolt details etc, without changing the base color . any acylic clear paint would do the same , such as tamiya floquil etc. Just in the USA it is way cheaper to buy clear this way . I use it for setting decals as well , you cannot get them free very easy after you apply them however !Wink [;)]

I have the same problem here in the Philippines spector822002 I can't get my hands on any. However I'm more interested in its use with clear parts like canopies. Can I use other acrylic clear paints for clear parts too?

Sorry, I just realized there are some threads under "Techniques" about Future. Should have looked before posting this.

Thousand apologies.

That I am not sure of , ( the last post ) You may want to try a post in aircraft for that one . I know of the technique , isn't it supposed to make the clear plastic look thinner? Good luck
