Well, I have one Tiger 1 that is built and finished and I will never touch it again (it's the national winner-won't dare modify it!) but the other six tigers are, well should I say trashed? I built the tigers and once they were on the shelf I liked them. But after a while I got tired of the same camo and the same markings and the same tiger (Ok, if you don't know by now I got a secondary mental illness about trashing tigers!). So I take it from the shelf and strip it of its tools and cables and repaint/decal it and put it back up after it's finished. I'm never satisfied and I tried making one tiger out of two. I tried (tried's the key word!) converting an early tiger to a late and it's a mess. I have one box of all the tiger/panther/tiger 2 hulls and turrets and treads and extra parts. It's a mess. So to summarize this up, out of 7 tiger kits I ever bought, only one made it out alive and that's garrunteed to not be modified. So, sorry Anthony, there will be no pics of 7 completed tigers, but I could put a pic up of my tiger junkyard box.

I don't have a SINGLE multiple of any kind of vehicle. BUT, I DO want to build another t-54 and t-55 variant. I love the look of that tank.

I think it must be somewhere in DNA, maybe a prion somewhere. That's it! MAD TIGER DISEASE! I broke out in a fever shortly after spotting a Dragon 1/72 while buying trains for my sons. It was I fever I haven't felt in a loooong time time. I don't remember much after that but I now have a work area with a pile of unbuilt kits and fortunately a very understanding wife. I have just self-diagnosed my MTD. I think I have to call in sick.

Sign - Ditto [#ditto] Anybody notice its just us Aussies owning up to this one - must be the hole in the ozone layer or something!

I got back into this hobby about two months ago utterly determined that I was going to buy just one kit, build it, paint it, and base it before I even thought about a second kit. well, so far there is one project finished, three more projects under way, and NINE unopened boxes in the cupboard. It must be a disease!

Cheers, Andy

I've got a teeny 1:72 hasegawa Tiger that got me back into modelling, working on an insanely detailed 1:35 Italeri Tiger E/H1 (just figured out the H stands for Henschel!), I have a Tiger II waiting to be next and I plan to get a mid and late production Tiger I after I find a JagdTiger...

I love roadwheels and tires. I love to clean them, trim them, smooth them, paint them. Oh boy! wheels and tires.... I don't need to mount them on anything, just let me prep them. I can't get emough of them. A Dragon Wagon with 19 sets of wheels and tires is not enough, give me a battalion of them.... hee hee hee

I'm from the government and I'm here to help.

My psychiatrist says we are both normal, but we may have withdrawl symptoms if we stop buying kits, KATH KNOWS I,m mental
Question if we all make enough Tigers do you think we could crack Kursk this time around?

If it is a mental illness, I hope they never find a cure.
Wayne I enjoy getting older, especially when I consider the alternative.

ArmorMaster
I have seven Tigers bulit(Fujimi 1/76, Hasegawa 1/72, ESCI 1/72, Tamiya 1/25, Tamiya 1/35(old 1970's), Tamiya 1/35 early version and Airfis Ho/00) within ten years although not within couple of years. If you had metal illness, I would had it in a progressive way!Big Smile [:D]

C'mon ArmorMaster, just because you have the same kit at the same time does not mean you have committed polygamyBig Smile [:D] Show us the pic after you complete it. It will be an impressive pic to see all seven Tigers line up together.

I have a lot of skeletons in my closet, and I have only been back at it a couple of months.

Speaking of, Peter, did you say a while back that you had picked up Tamiya's Sdkfz 7 8t half track? I got one cheap the other day, but alas, no instructions! Just wondering if you could fax or scan them for me? Perhaps you could email me if this was a possibilty.

Come to think of it, I might have a half track obsession...... I just bought my 5th.

Hhmmm, nope, I don't have this illness, I build one of a certain subject and move on to something else. Now that's not to say that I may not go back and have another go at a subject to see how my skills have improved, or if a newer variant comes out that catches my interest.

If it's mental, it must be contagious! I have 1 Tiger I built and 5 sitting on the pile unbuilt. There are also 3 Tiger II's waiting in the wings. Big Smile [:D]

mental illness...

No, really though, I have this problem with Pz IVs AND Tiger 1s. I have 6 Pz IVs in various stages at my house, and 4 Tiger 1s. I am thinking of picking up 3 more Pz IVs with my next order to Great ModelsBig Smile [:D]Evil [}:)]

Better ask Robert (Shermanfreak) this question. Inquiring minds want to know.

Do I have a mental illness or are there others out there too? I just called in my supplier and ordered another tiger 1 kit! It's going to be my (gotta coint all the boxes) 7th tiger kit in the last couple years! Are there people out there like me that are obbsessed with a type of tank so much they order like 7 of them?!Tongue [:P] Just wondering if I got a problem or if this is normal. Thanks.
