I think Tamiya should release a Panther R/C kit I would bet it would be a best seller for sure no matter what version , I want a Panther late G here , but would settle for any at this point , what version kit would you like to see ? ( That is if you are a Panther fan)

Hey Spector,

I echo your sentiments! I've been clamoring for Tamiya to release a 1/16 Full Option Panther ever since I got started looking into building an RC tank. I was very disappointed when I found out that there wasn't one. I went with my next favorite, the Tiger I. A few of the guys in my tank club plan to attend the next TamiyaCon and one of their objectives is to let Tamiya know that there is a sizable demand for the Full Option Panther. Of course, J-Hulk could put in a good word for us since his crib in in Osaka!

It shouldn't be too difficult. They know the popularity of both the Panther and their large scale RC. I'll reserve one.

You know guys, that's all Mr. T hears here in Japan, too.
So why doesn't he make one, already??? Your guess is as good as mine.
If I have the opportunity to speak to him next month at the Shizuoka Hobby Show, I will be sure tell him the FSM folks are dying for a big Panther.

Personally, if it's a Panther, I'd like a late G!

Lately I've been craving a 1/16 M-47...so I can do a big-scale "Hessler's King Tiger" to expand on the 1/35 version I did!
Laugh all ya want, but that is one of my favorite tanks!

Good men ! Tell Mr tamiya what we want for a next big R/C kit . Then we should wait a bit for Aber to come out with a superdetail for it , and maybe some metal tracks for it and do a group build here ! You could count me in as far as I am concerned , a late G model would be ultimate for me , that is one kool machine ! Now I am wanting for kits not yet released yet ! Oh my get me some help !Big Smile [:D]Cool [8D]

Just dreaming, but Trumpeter could follow their T-34 series with a late G panther,
an early G, and a Jagdpanther& become the new leader in 1:16.
Affordable, full interiors, properly detailed lower hulls,&easy to master because
there are plenty of museum examples... Go Trumpeter!!

You know guys, there are two routes to go if you want a 1/16 Full OptionPanther...
1. There's a fellow in Germany who is building them and has them for sale. Asking price: $1800.

2. If you're any good at a little scratch building, buy Verlinden's 1/15 static model and modify it for R/C.

A friend of mine in our tank club will most likely be using Verlinden's Panther and going that route. He's a machinist and a freakin' genius when it comes to manufacturing parts.
