Isreal M60
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, May 13, 2004 7:46 AM

Smile [:)]The above M60 was assembled using a Academy Isreal M60 kit and the tracks used were AFV Club M60 movable tracks(tracks were assembled without cement, they were actually fitted on like the real tracks)........

Hope to hear some comments..........Smile [:)]

Very nice build, remember that an M60 series tank's tracks are "live" tracks and due to wedge bolts and rubber bushings, are very tight. There is no sag in these tacks.

Good job. It looks very cleanly done. This kit was one of the earliest armour kits that I built, and it went together very well.
Very nice weathering between the armoured plates on the upper hull and turret Smile [:)]

Very nice build. How were the AFV Club tracks to assemble? I have a couple sets that I want to put on an M60 in the near future.

Great Job!! I was thinking about doing one myself, but i heard the tracks that come in the kit are for an M-47 Patton. How is the quality of the kit?

Smile [:)]Thanks ALL for your comments and advises!!!!Smile [:)]

Hi
Rob Gronovius, comment noted...
Hun Commander, e one piece vinyl Merkava tracks that come w e kit were a bit tight (stretched) when you linked them up onto e tank( looks unrealistic )....
As for e kit I felt that e quality was there, considering e fact that it is oso cheaper then Tamiya USMC M60 reactive armour version.....
Kaleu, e "fitting" on the tracks were good....no problem encountered.....
Petbat, as per your request (e antenna damaged in e process).....

sorrey, did'nt understand the joke. can you explain??

Looks nice rattrap! can you tighten up the tracks? there is no sag on israeli's M60's. other than that the weathering & building seems right. just wondering what basic color did you use?

I believe he was poking fun of his misspelling "Isreal", get it "Is Real"? It should be Israeli M60 and not Isreal M60.
