My Newest Build..Sd.Kfz 7 8 Ton Halftrack
Posted by Abastyr on Monday, May 24, 2004 5:37 PM
Well, I finished the 88mm a long time ago, but have been working slowly on getting the halftrack done to carry it. I finally got it done. As usual, Feedback is always appreciated.

Those models were very finely done. The weathering is simply amazing. Great job!

Great work Andy, like the weathering technique.

Thanks for sharing.
Wayne I enjoy getting older, especially when I consider the alternative.

Andy,
good work!
the prime mover looks used, but not used up.
is that the plastic top from the kit?
because it looks more like canvas.
can you tell us how you painted/weathered it to make it look so good?

thanks for posting.

Yes, it is the plastic top from the Kit. Pretty simple...Airbrushed it Khaki Drab... Than weathered it along with the entire model at the same time. (Water/Vinegar/Soap/Watercolor Paints), slap it all over, let dry...

I was concerned about how it would come out, but in the end, I was impressed at how good the wash made the Canvass look real.

Tamiya's 35033. Think it's out of production now, but you can find it for like $20 on ebay.

I used Model Master FS36076, Panzer Grey.

Thanks for the comments
