What's your unrealistic dream?
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, May 27, 2004 4:59 PM
I wish I could have/build a 1:6 (or maybe a 1:1Mischief [:-,]Cool [8D]!) tiger 1 rc tank. That would probably never happen, but it's my dream. So if theres one kit out there, or anything you'd want, then what is it?

hmmm, I want to build a diorama full of 1/35 rc vehicles that's about 20 feet by 20 feet and the same in height full of all sorts of vehicles and equipment. i want it to portray an assault on a fortress that's biult into a mountain, and inside the fortress show all the defenders mobilizing. Full working lights, projectile launchers, smoke generators, and some running vehicles. MWAHAHAHA, that'd be a beast Big Smile [:D]

1 - To get ANY of the kits I'm working on completely finished!!
2 - To make Aber parts work and look good!
3 - An affordable book by Jentz & Doyle that's actually available!!
lol

Actually, I'd like to have one of every major varient German tank from the 38 (t) through the Tiger II, with a lot of sub types thrown in for good measure. (Like every Panther and Tiger version). And the same for the M3 and M4 on the Allied side. The research materials to know what details are needed on said tanks. And, finally room to show them all off.

Bill,

Funny you mention that.... There is a gentleman in my local club that has a model of every fighter the US used from the begining of flight to the present, including some that never made it past the test flight stage. Over 1100 models. I don't see why you couldn't accomplish that part of your dream.

Okay, just for the sheer immensity of the occasion, and with total disavowance of what the Nazis were: To ride a Tiger tank under the Arc du Triumph on the Champs Elysees....

To have 2 of every armor and softskin kit made in 1/72 1/48 1/35 and 1/25 that was ever made (yes I know my tastes are far to modest). Oh and to have enough money to travel any countrys Armor and Aircraft museum whenever I wanted to.

How about:

1. My own hobby store. Fully stocked with multiples of everything, and I do mean everything related to this hobby.

2. A T-72, M1 or a Panther with live ammunition and a range. Big Smile [:D]

I have two:

1 - Scratchbuild 1/35 WWII armor (any nationality, although a StuG III Ausf F or F/8 would be my first choice)

2 - Win the IPMS National/International championship, get a free trip to visit Tamiya Inc HQ.

Well, I'm a person with little ambition, all I want are only:

1) A life-time contract as a manager in Bovington or Aberdeen tank museum. So theat I can see, touch and smell all my favourite tanks everday. I don't ask for much, just $100/hr for 40hrs/week plus benefits.

2) Just 50% stock share of Tamiya, Hasegawa, DML, Italeri, and Academy. Therfore I would determine what kit should be madeSmile [:)](of course will consult you folksBig Smile [:D]) and build whatever and as many asI want without paying

3) Well, this is all for you. Gather all you FSM tank dudes together in either Aberdeen or Bovington this summerCool [8D] and have a big BBQ with the tanks demonstrating. Will make sure there will be enough burgers, hot dogs, steaks and ribs, and of course BEER(ale beer preferredBig Smile [:D]). Sorry, vegetarians may not apply.

Hit the lottery, retire immediately and spend the rest of my days buying and building models, with an actual workshop with every little tool I could imagine right there in the back yard. I'm talking massive reference library, broadband internet, spray booth, resin casting, my own photo-etch equipment, and anything else that strikes my fancy. Oh, add a whole floor just for displaying everything! Yeah, that could happen...

interesting question. i have a dream of walking into a warehouse. several acres under one roof. turn on the lights and see a 1/4 scale replica of pearl harbor. with working lights, smoke generators, working dock, ships moving about, and the realization it is mine. a secondary dream to walk around the arizona, oklahoma, nevada, or any other of the ships present at the pearl attack, as they appeared on dec 7, 1941. now those are just two of the "unrealistic" dreams i have, there are many, many more. how about this one, to be able to talk to, face to face, admiral yamamoto. i could go on but it would take a week to type them all out.

A Stuart, M3 / A1 / A3 or M5 / A1 in 1:1 scale and be able to afford to run and maintain it!! Of course an M22 or FT-17 would be a lot of fun too!

Anthony, what about Trumpeter?? lol

Oh, almost forgot. Thanks for reminding me wipw. Yes, another 50% share of
Trumpeter. Plus having the authority to set up a model industry standards that from now on, all 1/35 AFV kits from any comapny must include FULL interior and every company for every two years must produce a 1/16 AFV kit with full interior together with working suspension systems, movable track, recoil main gun, metal tube barrel, resin engines and resin figures. How about starting with the M4A3 Sherman and Tiger I firstBig Smile [:D]
